Use our rumours form to send us liverpool transfer rumours.

07 Oct 2014 20:12:13
Firstly like a lot of people I'm frustrated with our performances (bar Spurs) this season and I do not want to make excuses for Rodgers or the players however it did get me thinking; the amount of injuries we have had has been horrendous (especially if a new player joins and doesn't get a pre-season or time to gel with team mates.

Thus far I believe the following have had injuries:

Flanagan
Johnson
Skrtel
Sakho
Toure (caught Malaria in the summer)
Enrique (returning from Injury)
Can (twice)
Markovic
Allen
Lallana
Sturridge
Borini

I'm not suggesting our football has been good enough but by the same token having to deal with this does not help proceddings.

Also before people quote Chelsea doing well; they've pretty much only replaced 3 players; a keeper better than Peter Cech (lucky sods); Lampard with Fabregas and a mis firing striker with Costa. They are still playing the same way just with better players.

I will stand by what I said that if come xmas/new year we are around 4th spot we will continue to improve (providing Sturridge is back) and secure a top 4 position - it's essential to our development.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

I agree Hoola.
One constant of Rodgers two seasons in charge is that we have gradually improved as the season has gone on in both campaigns.
I am hoping for the same this season.

Agree4 Disagree0

07 Oct 2014 21:46:38
Hoola mate. For once could we actually believe our self as a champion club which should fight for the title and not the 4th place trophy.

Agree0 Disagree3

You know what. add a goalkeeper and you could field a decent team with those players!

Johnson - Skrtle - Sakho - Flanno

Allen - Can - Lallana

Borini - Sturridge - Markovic

Agree3 Disagree6

Totally agree Hoola.

Injuries have funked us up big style and add to that the International bs breaks every other week and you can't get any momentum going.

The season for me doesn't really start til November and if like last year we are in a good position I think we'll be fine.

And Stato liking that team. I know we talk of the injuries and that, but that is a pretty good team that could damage anyone.

Peace Brothers

Agree1 Disagree0

Hoola
We also had pretty much the entire squad injured at one point or another last season barring Mignolet and Henderson if memory serves me right.
All teams will have injuries and the strongest squad will normally prevail.
Our squad is much better this season and we all knew that Sturridge would not play every game. For me he is absolutely crucial for us at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Arrow agreed but there is a difference; you are quoting a season; i'm comparing pre season and 6 weeks of football.

Remember (if memory serves me correctly) none of the new signings (2013-2014) had injuries at the beginning of last season and there was no world cup with players returning at different times to get accustomed to each other.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Oct 2014 20:00:12
Here's hoping the current set of international fixtures don't leave a number of our players injured (like the last lot did).

Ok found the list ed001 just changed spurs to Everton hope u don't mind

OK GUYS THIS WAS A LIST PREPEARED BY ED001 WHEN BALOTELLI WAS LINKED WITH ARSENAL AND SOMEONE ASKED ED'S OPINION ON WHETHER HE SHOULD BE SIGNED
THIS IS JUST TOO DAMN HILLARIOUS

Only if he promises to let me know in advance where he will be giving out money each day
Yes as I already have a 'Why always me?' t-shirt at him ready
Only if he promises not to borrow my car (he had his car impounded something like 27 times in case you are wondering why that answer)
Only if he is banned from access to tomatoes
Only if Rodgers promises to let him handle the club's shopping in future (just look up when his mam sent him the shops for 'essentials for the house' and see what kind of things he considered essentials!)
So long as he promises never to wear a Everton shirt (he once wore an AC Milan shirt with his name on the back to training while at Inter)
Yes, if he is made to do all after match interviews
Only if banned from buying fireworks
No, in case he doesn't like next season's kit (Italy brought out a new kit and to show it off played a friendly with the old kit in the first half and the new in the second half. Balotelli didn't like the new kit, so he wore the old kit in the second half too!)
Yes, just to make Ed001 happy as he thinks Mario is far too interesting to play anywhere but the English league

BTW OF U WERE WONDERING WHAT BALOTELLI CONSIDERS ESSENTIALS THEY ARE- A vespa, a trampoline, A scalectrix

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - the tomatoes thing was because he pelted someone with tomatoes. I think it was an opposition manager if I remember correctly, but I am not 100% on that.}

07 Oct 2014 19:56:47
It was an opposition manager though I don't remember who
Some more "incidents"

#Carried phone to subs bench in international friendly so he could play games
# the bib incident
# Dragged away from penalty spot by Zanetti when eto took a penalty he won

Could go on

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - there are so many, like when he dressed as Santa and wandered round the Trafford Centre handing out money to random people.}

08 Oct 2014 05:22:40
Always loved him as a character and would love for him to apply himself an become a great player. Have to like someone who seems to behave (off the pitch at least) the same as most young 20 something's would with his earnings.

Not sure of how true but apparently when meetings rodgers he asked who takes penalties because I'm good at them and when asked if it was true about Mancini saying sometimes he wants to throttle him replied, he can't i do kick boxing! Added to that him sorting out school bullies, setting off fireworks, and his iconic why always me got to admit he entertains!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not all of it is true (sadly).

I think he should be judged on his football at Liverpool. I think he'll do we'll when he's settled in.
I remember Drogba needing a season to settle at Chelsea. Mario will be top class next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Oct 2014 18:21:07
Dislike him or love him on the pitch
balotelli is one of the most hilarious guys around something which football today really misses

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I love him when he is with another team, when he is with us, well I am only interested in what he does on the pitch then.}

07 Oct 2014 18:26:24
Links ain't allowed ed?
Ok guys just Google balotelli shopping essentials
Couldn't stop laughing

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - is that from when he was at Citeh and his mother sent him shopping? I did a long list of some of the things he did on Arsenal a while back, when they were linked to him. My favourite has to be when Italy launched a new kit and decided to have the team wear the old kit in the first half and the new kit in the second half. Balotelli came out for the second half still wearing the old kit because he decided he didn't like the new one!}

07 Oct 2014 19:15:02
Yep ed. My fav was though was the epic line when he was caught with money in the back seat

" because I'M RICH"

Will look for that list.
Will it be allowed to be posted on here?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - yes mate, feel free to post it here. It isn't exhaustive, I was only trying to pick a few highlights and ended up with about 50 things! He is a real character.}

He's a legend. Thing is I like characters, life is just boring without them. Without getting political characters have been slowly taken out of society by rules, regulations and rubbish and lazy media.

Lets face it years ago if he'd have done these things it would not even got mentioned. A lot of it was just dressing roomesque banter. The press need someone to write about and he's a good target.

Like I say he's a legend of the pitch and let's make him a legend on it.

Ed01.
I am travelling to Dubai on Nov 1st and would be there for 3 days. If its with in the rulez and under protocol. I would love to meet you up.
If not its ok.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - ok mate, do you know whereabouts you will be staying? I mean which area, so I can suggest a place to meet up.}

07 Oct 2014 18:24:13
God Save You Ed001 :-D lols no offense Harry
Btw on a similar note you ever visited India ed001?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - no mate, never been further than Dubai. Well Sharjah a few times, I suppose that is a little bit closer. I was supposed to be going out there for a friend's wedding a few years' back, but never managed to get enough money to afford it. I will have to go there one day as it is quite cheap to fly there from here. Got to visit the Philippines first though.}

07 Oct 2014 19:12:43
Ed001

Visit next year in May. Good time to get tanned at 45 C lol :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - does it not depend on which part you are in? I would have thought a country that big would have colder areas too. I find this country hot enough for me, though it is getting cold now, only mid 30s C at the height of the day.......}

07 Oct 2014 19:32:39
Iff u stay near the coast or go north you'll be fine. But don't you dare enter the interiors.
I had the pleasure of visiting dubai in April. Even in a.c I thought I was being steamed

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - April is not too bad, July and August is when it gets baking. You see lots of people using umbrellas as sun shades, I still haven't got used to that and momentarily look up to the sky to see if it is raining when I see a brolly! April you do get rain though, I saw it rain twice this April gone, must have lasted as long as 3 minutes the second time.}

07 Oct 2014 19:54:09
I have some faint memories of the three minute rain.
Unfortunately won't be visiting dubai for a long time now

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - shame that Reet, you could have met Harry otherwise!}

07 Oct 2014 20:03:53
Ed001

Even if I had visited dubai on nov 1 I would have not met Harry.
I want to come back alive :-D

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - hahaha, I was hoping you would be my bodyguard!}

07 Oct 2014 21:45:41
Reet

I ll have one for you very soon lols.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I've left a couple of posts on this thread for Ed001 to get in the morning.}

I was in Dubai throughout September ED001
Expensive place especially if you want a social drink or 2. The drivers are quite frankly nutcases. I staid in the jumeira lake towers are, which was nice. were you round there?
I was quite shocked at seeing then hearing about the blood money incidents wwith the indian labourers.such a shocking thing I'dnever heard about

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I don't drink and it depends where you go as to the price mate. JLT is where I am staying at the moment and is very pricey, hence I will be moving as soon as possible. If you go to Bur Dubai, for instance, it is much cheaper round there.}

07 Oct 2014 21:44:45
Thanks Ed01. I shall give you the details soon. I hope its a Saturday night. And we do have a fixture on Sunday. banggggggggggg

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - you don't want that because I am superstitious, and if we win, you will have to be tied up somewhere so you can't leave and we can do the exact same thing before every game!}

08 Oct 2014 04:35:20
Now when u tie him up ed001 (btw that sounds so wrong)
Don't give him access to a phone or laptop please ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he will be stuffed away with no access to anything. I don't want there being any chance of him changing something ahead of the following game. When we win, EVERYTHING has to be exactly the same the next time we play. Even the clothes worn have to be put aside straight afterwards and worn again the following game. Washing them is not allowed until we lose.}

08 Oct 2014 05:01:56
Not even wash the clothes ed? I wouldn't have dared to go near you during our 11 game winning streak last season

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - you can't wash them, that washes out the luck!}

07 Oct 2014 17:04:33
When ever I wake up in the morning and go onto the internet I ALWAYS come to this site first everytime. Definatly the best thing the internet can offer.

Credit to all the Eds for making this a home for god knows how many of us.

Cheers

Believable5 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - thank you mate, we do appreciate that.}

07 Oct 2014 17:16:22
Same for me though I sometimes cheat on the page with "soccer manager"

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I feel used and dirty now!}

07 Oct 2014 17:24:27
ED01, Years ago when i just googled a decent football rumours site. This appeared in the second page.
Now on page 1 and right up there. shows the growth.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I am surprised we are on page 1 to be honest. Google have messed us about for years. They often remove us from searches for no reason whatsoever. It is a right pain, as it takes months for them to review the decision and put us back.}

07 Oct 2014 17:29:12
Ed001

Don't feel bad . I'll grow old with this site.
And ed I have Sanchez and vidal both at Liverpool in one of the game worlds ;-)

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I doubt I will live long enough to see you get old!}

07 Oct 2014 17:34:25
They does that on a review If I am correct. But its back on page 1, first name.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - good, we need the traffic at this time of year!}

07 Oct 2014 17:53:57
Ed001

Don't worry. I'll have developed an immortality serum by then :-D

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - best give that to Ed003 first, he is so old his stories that start 'during the war' are about the Wars of the Roses! Hmmmm just realised that gag might not carry so well to overseas readers!}

08 Oct 2014 06:44:24
Don't worry, ed001, I laughed! BTW, just googled "football rumours site" and football-rumours.co.uk was the top of the search returns.

I think you were saying a couple of days ago that that site doesn't really have much happening on it. ? You might want to redirect traffic/posts there to make it look busier if most google searches end up there. Maybe have the top 6 club specific sites as sub-windows on the landing page to direct people?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed033's Note - thanks for the post

07 Oct 2014 16:03:30
Ed001, I saw earlier you mentioned the correct scores competition and moving it to the fantasy page. Thanks for that, my Ed experience thus far has been about 5 posts 😆.

Secondly, you mentioned a cross/page banter site on match days. Is that like the espn boot room or what?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - not the correct score one mate, we have a fantasy football game of our own in creation. I have never been on the ESPN site, sorry.}

07 Oct 2014 17:57:23
Fair enough ed. lol

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - but our own fantasy football league game should help on there. Give you something to keep you busier.}

07 Oct 2014 20:39:42
Decided to do my 15 page research paper on british privateering in colonial America. I need nothing to keep me busier. You british folk are so difficult. 😆

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - good job you didn't do it on American imperialism or it would be never ending =op}

07 Oct 2014 15:14:48
I just voted on today's poll about Lallane and I'm amazed, gobsmacked, shocked and stunned to see people saying that he has not been impressive in the last few games.
If not Lallana then who the hell has been our great attacking influence in the last few games, . Plus he chases the defenders down, chases down the keeper, gets back faster than most, wonderful trickery and great passing.

Some are never happy here, Lallana was a fantastic buy and will be wonderful for us this season

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Anyone could vote. It need not be Liverpool fans.

Agree3 Disagree0

07 Oct 2014 15:59:51
I agree completely McGoveb. The passion he exhibited in a rather dull atmosphere after scoring. I can still picture him coming on against Basel and urging the guys on when they clearly weren't up for the challenge. He has literally improved every game I've watched him, and he's a leader. Very satisfied with the purchase, even at that price.

Agree4 Disagree0

Maybe voted him as not impressing as they need a new scapegoat ;o)

I would just like to comment on the where to play Gerrard topic. I for one don't understand why BR has hin playing the DM role as every game I watch this position seems to be the area were the most energy is required.

Everytime I see Gerrard he's making 30-40 yard runs against players who are younger and quicker than him.
In my opinion he would be better suited in his previous roles behind a striker or strikers as most defenders are slower and older anyway.

My point is I think Gerrard would have a better advantage runing at other teams back 4's then trying to keep up with other teams front 6's.

REX

Believable13 Unbelievable0

Rex, the problem is almost every fan if not every fan on here thinks the same. Even if we only get 60 mins of him full out in the attacking roll it's better than him struggling for 90 mins every game in the DM role. My fear is BR doesn't have the you know what to make the change, Lucas is far far more suited to the DM role

Agree5 Disagree0

07 Oct 2014 14:12:37
Mcgoveb

Do you honestly believe, Gerrard would start from bench given he is fully fit? He want to lead that 11 on to the pitch everytime Liverpool play.

I won't blame his passion and love for the club, Sometimes its hard to accept you are old enough not to start every game.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Oct 2014 14:28:43
Yeh he's still a massive threat. His experience and deadball ability cannot be matched. But he's getting on a bit and can't be starting every game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Harry, it should not be Gerrards choice, there in lies the problem with LFC. He's not bigger than the club but unfortunately the manager is too weak to make the tough decisions, Fergie, Mourinho and Wenger were all able to drop players when they got older and weren't performing 100%, that's what great managers do.

DBol,
We don't get penalties in every match, we don't get great positioned free kicks in every match. But what we do get is corners and let's be honest his delivery has been poor this season, he's not getting over the first defender in most corners.

Hi Eds

I posted on Banter yesterday, got a reply and posted a response. Nothing controversial or rude but the thread was taken down. anything wrong with it ?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I don't know mate, I never dealt with it to know. But, bearing in mind that sometimes we have had to take down threads because of the nature the discussion took, I am looking at taking steps to change that. If the thread just turns into abuse and a slanging match, we will still have to remove it, but if it just gets too heated and ruins the tone of the banter page, I am going to get an option placed up for us to just move it to what is now the 'Others' page. Then the thread on the banter page will be replaced by a message saying it has been moved and a link to the thread. That way, heated discussions can be carried on, without the banter page becoming just a bicker-fest.}

07 Oct 2014 11:24:36
Ed001

Send em over to the banter site. As things stand we got plenty time available

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - we could do a bit of both really. Depending on the nature of the post.}

07 Oct 2014 12:04:12
Ed001

One suggestion. No offense intended.
You have mentioned sending the heated arguments to the other page both here and on the arsenal page.
Now not many people visit the other page.
So what about creating a common footie banter page for all such heated discussions like back in the day for all teams? Something like No holds barred.
I recognize that yoi guys need to keep this page family friendly so this new page can be a bit more edgy.

Silly idea ed?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - that is why we still have the main football-rumours site mate, it is just that people don't often get involved in pages like that. They want to go to just where their own club is, for some reason.}

Thanks Ed01, no abuse from my side but perhaps a response from another was heading that way.

Another suggestion; In the quieter times between transfer windows, perhaps you should nominate 'Purge' days when you combine the Banter pages from different clubs; LFC and Man Utd on one day, LKC and Everton another, Chelsea and Arsenal another, etc etc.

Stand back and let the Madness commence !! Lol

On seconds thoughts

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I will look into it as Reet sees merit in the idea too, maybe we can do something.}

07 Oct 2014 12:27:14
Ed001

don't think anyone but fans of lower league clubs visit the football rumors page now.
It might be worth a try as I think it will especially attract the old (as I years following this site) posters

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - ok mate, we will investigate how to go about doing that.}

07 Oct 2014 13:10:07
Ed001

Your decision needs to be final mate. I don't trust even my own judgment. Remember I thought the fantasy football page was a good idea ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - the player ratings app will be up and running soon on there, so that should increase the numbers of people there for the fantasy football page. Plus we are going to create our own fantasy football game on there using the ratings later, so it should mean the page will get used more.}

07 Oct 2014 13:16:57
Now that'd be a great idea
Thank you mate for looking constantly for ideas to improve this whole set of websites.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - if you are not going forwards then you are going backwards, as everyone else around you will be moving forwards. We were hoping the player ratings would have been up and running ages ago, but there were some problems with finding the right info and something about screens being scraped and stuff. No idea what it means, but it should be up and running in a day or two, just in time for the internationals *fingers crossed*. Then it is the horse racing game to be put into open beta with competitions. While that is being put together by Ed033, some of the rest of us will sort out the rules for our fantasy football game. I am intending it to use the average ratings players receive from the editors as part of the scoring, part from the average ratings the rest of you ascribe them and the rest from their actions, such as scoring goals etc.}

07 Oct 2014 14:37:59
Ed001's Law of Motion lol :-)
Ed001

Some great ideas there. Especially the fantasy football league.
I'd be willing to help out with the non-software related stuff if you want it in regards to the fantasy football league
P.s really think yoi guys should take voluntary anonymous monetary contributions from the posters.
As long as it goes towards improving the site and not buying lingerie for Ed002 (lol just kiddingl most I think would be willing to contribute

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Ed002's lingerie bill has been huge since Ed007 took to ripping them off with his teeth. I doubt we could raise enough to cover even a quarter of it.....}

07 Oct 2014 14:54:39
Ed001

Lol ed :-D That is why he is in such jovial mood nowadays.
P.s One more suggestion though this is I am 99% sure crazy.
Guest Editors for the page on match day.
Not the harry's but more sensible people like ken aguero red rum etc

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - we are looking at adding live chat across all the sites for match days to start with.}

07 Oct 2014 15:16:52
One question ed001
Is it ed033 only who does alll the programming stuff alone?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - yep.}

07 Oct 2014 15:26:16
Must be burdened lol

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - keeps him out of trouble. Sometimes.}

07 Oct 2014 10:38:45
Eds reds just on the gerrard chat. If he is played further forward, in my opinion in a diamond, sturridge and lallana infront of him sterling and henderson behind him and can sitting, agree?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - Lallana ahead? Not sure I would put Lallana as a striker, surely that should be Sterling?}

07 Oct 2014 10:59:38
Sterling behind Gerrard?

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Oct 2014 11:04:17
Agree with Ed. I would have Lucas or Can at the base, Lallana and Henderson either side of the diamond and Gerrard at the tip. Strikers would either be Sturridge and Sterling or Sturridge and Balotelli. If the latter, then Sterling could take Lallana's role. We also have Lambert to come on too as well as Borini.

We then have Lallana or Coutinho to take over from Gerrard if/when he tires. We also have options of Markovic and Allen to come in to the 2 wider diamond roles, and Lucas/Can for the base role.

I think that would give us a very good balance between attack and defence, and also allow for plenty of options in case of injury, suspension or loss of form.

Agree4 Disagree0

07 Oct 2014 12:14:32
Zeddius

Perfect. I would love Lallana to play in the midfield with Henderson. So much energy and influence to the game than at wide left or right.
Would never happen though. A 4-3-3 on the cards for the rest of the season.

Agree0 Disagree1

07 Oct 2014 14:21:52
Eds reds I didn't mean gerrard ahead of stirling, in the diamond gerrard at the top stirling and henderson in the channels and can at the base. I put lallana further forward because of his composure in front of goal playing in and around sturridge and gerrard with stirling joining the attack, but I can see the point of stirling up top and lallana in the channel, I was one who advocated stirling being moved up after suarez left and we failed to get sanshez, and any other similar replacement. All our players in those posistions are interchangeable.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Oct 2014 09:43:57
Just a thought.

I do not think Gerrard has the capacity to play as a box to box midfielder for 90 minutes twice a week, despite glimpses of his old self last week.

However, do people think Rodgers could do what Mancini/Pelligrini did/do with Yaya - start the first 65-70minutes in a deep role at which point bring Can/Lucas on and let Gerrard get forward if we need a goal?

Conserves his energy but also gets the best out of him in a short spell when needed.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

07 Oct 2014 10:07:41
Too many tweak just to accommodate one player?.
Sorry I am not in favour.

Agree3 Disagree1

07 Oct 2014 10:19:33
Why not just play him for shorter bursts in the more advanced role? Lucas or Can are better suited to the deeper role than Gerrard in terms of offering more protection to our back 4, especially with the full backs bombing up the wings, and I would so LOVE to see Stevie pushing the attack forward in what I regard as his best, and most effective, position.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Oct 2014 10:20:48
Not in the box to box role ( which will be known as the Henderson Position In the future) But In the hole playing just off the striker

07 Oct 2014 06:01:20
Asked the mourinho question yesterday to see whether people prefer trophies the mourinho way or free attacking football (which mimd u we aren't playing atm :-( )
Good to see thwt most would stick with Rodgers.
Though I think the results would have been a lot different had the option been Klopp
One quick question

Martin Ødegaard
Anyone seen him play?
Seen us linked with him for 10 million. Is he that good?

Ed001 who do you think is better out of Suso and Joao Teixeira, and who has the most potential?

Thanks mate

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - right now Suso is a better player, just, but Teixeira has more potential, a lot more potential. I certainly wouldn't have minded Suso going if it was to make space for him to get a run in the team.}

Texiera need atleast couple of loans to get some expereince. Suso is pretty much ready. Our first fruit from the academy ( Sterling and Flanno were Gamble). and off to Milan.

{Ed001's Note - why not give him experience by playing him in our first team??}

Suso isn't playing because if he becomes a good player for us in the next few months we then look like persons when he signs a pre contract with Milan. If he goes there & does well we can say it's the lack of quality in the league

Suso isn't a bad player. there are quiet a lot of average player in the league
Is He good enough for Liverppol?. Ofcourse Yes. Do we have world beaters on each position?
That Suso would defo start for an Arsenal side. 150%.

Suso our attacking midfielder starts 150% ahead of Ramsey, Wilshere, Carzola, Ozil and Sanchez?
Really Harry? He wouldn't get a look in at Arsenal, not neccasarily due to talent but like Liverpool, his path is blocked by frankly better players!

You ain't getting my point, He might not start above all of them, But He would defo won't be sold out to another club.
Wenger loves players like Suso, Intellegent and skillfull.
And given the injry list of Ramsy and wilshere, Suso would do a better role than Ozil down the left side of that Arsenal side.

The point here is, A pretty decent talent being sold at 0 mill, And I am damm sure, BR would begg to the owners to get someone similar with 1 year experience for 20 mill.

If BR wants to us to play a prefect 4-3-3 inch precise passing and moving system, There are very few players better than Suso.

Given Ramsey and Wilsheres injuries, Suso would do better than Ozil.
That doesn't make any sense.
Sorry Harry, but for me, Suso has far more chance at Liverpool than he would at Arsenal. The only way that would happen is if Wenger did what he did with Arteta and shoehorn him into a defensive role, otherwise he would literally be 5th or 6th choice,
If Suso can't oust the likes of Allen out of our side, he's got no chance with Arsenal, who's midfield is by far their strongest area of the field.

If Wenger signs Suso and turns him into a world beater, I'd be quite happy to issue an apology and retraction, but I can't see it mate.

What you think Brad couldn't bench Migs??. Migs has been poor from an year and He is been given chance after chance.
Allen was literally ineffective last season, couldn't get 10 successive start ahead of Countinho.

I don't remember Suso starting a Liverpool match. Has the lad ever started for the club?

BR doesn't like a player and He is either sold or benched.

Bet me. Lovern would be starting over and over again untill He proves his worth. If it was just performance Lovern should be benched first.

No I don't Harry.
I think it's quite childish to assume Rodgers picks all the teams based on his favourites,
Don't get me wrong, he will undoubtedly have them, but his starting 11 is far from who he likes week in week out.

I am going on the (perhaps naive) assumption that Rodgers watches Suso/Jones etc (why you mention Mignolet and Jones I don't know) in training day in day out.

I also assume after watching them, he assess who taking his points on board, who's improving and who's on form.

I then assume he picks his 11 based on the above, and also who we are playing.

The notion that Suso and Jones are worldies in training, constantly learning and improving and still omitted from the squad is silly.

It's quite disrespectful to suggest Rodgers would put his own job on the line, playing players who are performing at a lower level than Suso in the 11 based on grudges.

Again, I might be naive guys, maybe I'm wrong and the situation screams favouritism, but for me, the only person qualified to judge Suso (and jones, for that matter) is BR and his coaching staff. If they don't see either as first team material, they won't make the 11, or potentially the squad.

I thought that was how it worked. Coach. Judge. Pick.

Fair mate, But you agree our poor start to the season is down to BR and only BR.
He has spend quiet a lot and bought near 20 players out of which only Sturridge has managed to be consistently hit. He wouldn't want a bad impression on his transfer dealings to the outside world.
So He would keep picking Migs and Lovern.

Ballo is not his signing and that being one main reason he benched him to send a message to TC and Owners. Else He would drop quiet a lot off his own signings.

I would defo give Suso a chance mate.

Player : Suso
Position : ACM/LW
Transfer Fee : 0
Wages : Relatively cheap

Sigh, no Harry I don't agree our poor start to the season is all BRs fault.
