Moyes is a gift that just keeps on giving. Just read in the papers that he said he couldn`t sign Ozil because "he had no room for him". Is that the dumbest thing I`ve ever heard or what. So let me get this straight. You don`t have room for a superstar like Ozil who is one of the most skillfull and tidiest players on the face of the earth BUT you have room for jokers like Fellaini, Carrick and the God aweful Cleverley and Anderson? There`s a reason he`s often seen as a joke, a bottler, a choker and a loser. He might be a good coach but with his potless record and 0 wins at Anfield over 11 yrs along with dumb comments like that, it`s almost impossible to tell. Just hope he draws the game tmrw but with the unwanted "Ozil" on the other side, it`ll be a huge task. Just spreading the fun arround my fellow reds fans. 2nd place and lovin it. Peace! {Ed002's Note - There are a lot of times where he should be listening not talking.}

No room for Kagawa either, by the looks of it.

Agree0 Disagree0

I for one am hoping united give him at least 5 seasons to make it work (like fergie) ;)

Great performance today. Although against a poor Fulham side. I thought glen Johnson had a great game. This type of game really shows up his attacking qualities. Cissoko on the other hand was pretty average at times I'd be thinking Enrique will take his place next match. But still great to get the win keeps the pressure on. Onwards and upwards.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Johnson was camped in Fulham's half the whole game, but I thought his passing was poor and he gave the ball away a number of times.

see what happens when you drop sakho for agger? :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

09 Nov 2013 19:51:20
Apart from his horrible debut, I think Sahko has generally been good for us. I'd like to see him and Agger playing as our CBs.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Nov 2013 19:52:17
Good place to be that I'd be confident going into a game with any 2 (or 3) of our 4 first-team CBs though.

Agree0 Disagree0

I still think Agger and Toure are the best pairing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly. Just remind me how many goals we conceded the first 3 games with Agger and Toure starting?

Agree0 Disagree0

A little naughty that! I thought Agger had a fine game, but to be honest, there wasn't much to do for him yesterday. Skrtel was boss I thought!

Agree0 Disagree0

It was certainly an easy re introduction for Agger back into the first team. He won't get much easier. Fulham rolled over for us but you can only beat what is put in front of you and beat them well we did.

Great result today, not too shabby for a decrepit and inept midfield! ;-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It was Fulham Bryan Red, calm down. You saw how our midfield crumbled under pressure last week when it mattered most.

Agree0 Disagree0

Henderson has been playing really well in the last few weeks. He tried so hard last week and the other have failed him but he's such a vital player. I can see the light of his talent. Anyway, if there are any Fulham fans roaming on the website, you must be embarrased by the train wreck of Jol and Shahid(who only wants more money with that NFL team of his!)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hendo has improved him game considerably- whereas he previously was tidy and intelligent in possession he now has the confidence to look up and find the forward pass and even take on a player occasionally- well done Jordan if you carry on like that you will be in Brazil next summer

Agree0 Disagree0

It's beyond me how Henderson hasn't been called up to the England team yet. Hodgson, you want a box to box engine who won't stop running? He's bloody right in front of you! Stop picking Cleverly, and pick the right man.

On a side note, best performance of the season so far, we're finally starting to hit good form. Nobody really played badly, Sturridge really wanted to get on the scoresheet, who can blame him? All round good win, hope to see more against our neighbors after the international break. YNWA!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Henderson has been called up.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is in the England squad for Chile and Germany

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would anyone want to send their players to England. They get run raged and come back injured.

All in all, a good performance against a poor side (at the moment). Stevie looked great, and I think this is the type of game he is ideal for. I think last week Arsenal just a little too fast, and technical with passing. I think it was a good response from the team, but my impression that we need to sign another central midfielder hasn't changed.

Great to see Agger back, and he played well.

Everton game could be huge. A win would keep confidence high and in good shape for a tough month ahead.

granted that there are areas of the squad that need improving and take priority and a certain amount of cash available, but am I alone in thinking that we missed out big time with gary medel. surely if we had bid he would have signed for us over cardiff.

it's just I sometimes see lucas as a liability with passing and silly fouls. also, I bet on oddschecker on match day the odds on lucas to score are almost on par with mignolet.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Give it a rest mate.

Red Rum

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Red, what a muppet!

Agree0 Disagree0

Just stop it sean

Agree0 Disagree0

Please, Medel`s at cardiff. LET IT GO, for God`s sake!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok. a muppet. in medel we have a defensive midfielder who can score, is tireless, xavi wanted him at barcalona, kept on top of mess iand cost £12m, has 95% plus pass completion in some games this season and was one of the eds' choice of summer signings (ok his discipline isn't great but we still want suarez starting).

against lucas. and you call me a muppet!

the be all and end all is this, we are not trying to scrape into the top four for the upcoming seasons but to win the league and be established as the best team in england, so we improve any position when players become available and not be sentimental.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with you about medel, I like him but I don't think lucas is a liability and it really isn't a great arguement to beat him with a bookies odd's on him scoring. Chelsea fans didn't complain about makelele's (made a hash of spelling) goalscoring record.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Nov 2013 17:48:22
it's not always going to be that easy! so don't get too carried away! we need to do it against the top sides now, not that I don't think we are capable, we are, still need a couple of players I feel.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

09 Nov 2013 17:46:30
A great win after a poor last game. Well done lads! Glad a few first team player's were back. I think we keep this goal ratio up our goal difference will be awesome.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

09 Nov 2013 17:44:24
I would like to pat Brendon on the back, well done BR, you made the changes and got the desired result!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

09 Nov 2013 17:30:05
Hendo was immense today, Johnno, Skrtel, Gerrard all played very well, you would think Agger had never been out of the team, if Sturridge and Suarez passed to each other more we would have won 8-0, still great to watch, i'm buzzin.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

09 Nov 2013 17:24:51
every time we have an international break we come back and play poorly, hope that doesn't happen this time!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I get the feeling BR might go back to 3 at the back against Everton.

Credit where it's due, I ripped into the team after last weeks non performance, but today the lads looked committed and more balanced, well played lads, very impressed, mind you Fulham were terrible, Berbatov in particular, no wonder Manchester United got shut, I wouldn't have in the car park never mind the club

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He's claimed squatters rights in the car park for his caravan!

09 Nov 2013 16:57:36
Great win, a bit embarrassing from Fulham, more like a training session at times, 3 points, all is well.

On another note, West Brom have been robbed by the crappy decision at Stamford Bridge, yet another shockingly bad penalty.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

09 Nov 2013 16:54:19
Absolutely chaffed! Brilliant performance all round! Stevie, Coutinho and Suarez were outstanding, but my MOTM has to be Hendo - awesome work rate and ran his socks off. Special mention to Skrtel. Great recovery from last week's defeat, and a clean sheet to boot. Bring on the toffees!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Only 1 MOM today mate Steven Gerrard, don't over do Hendersons performance, he was good Gerrard brilliant, assisted 3 goals controlled midfield, zipping passes here there and everywhere. I think the problem with people rating Hendersons performance is they try and justify their view of him and go over-board, he played very well 1st half, out of the game in the 2nd half. If Henderson plays a great long pass (he played one such pass today)he
gets lauded for it, Gerrard plays 3 or 4 as he did today its expected of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a game of opinions folks

Agree0 Disagree0

Credit where it is due, Gerrard ran the show today. He played like he had a point to prove and was actively involved in all of our goals.

I thought Coutinho looked rusty. Most of his though balls were either under-hit or over-hit and his shooting was wayward to say the least. But, I am sure 90 minutes today would have helped him a lot.

Also feel we missed quite a number of easy chances. It could have been 7 or 8 if we had taken the chances.

Not being negative, just my thoughts. Also good to see Enrique and Allen back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Henderson ran hard, but Gerrard was head and shoulders above everyone else on the field, except Suarez.

His passing range and delivery of the dead ball is matched by only Pirlo and Alonso.

He showed yesterday why he would walk into any team in the world.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jesus, that's going a bit far Tiger. Did he have a good game yes, can he walk into any team in the world, no!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, he would walk into any team in the world

Agree0 Disagree0

Brisbane,

Bayern wanted to buy Gerrard just over a year ago. Many consider them the best club team in the world. Since I doubt they wanted to buy him to sit him on the bench, then yes: he would walk into any team in the world, from Bayern on down.

Excellent result today. 2nd in the league on the heels of arsenal again.
Ive got a non-positive question i'm afraid. anyone on here that's a season ticket holder in the kop?
If so, can I ask what's happened with the noise level? I know we ask this alot, but I've never seen a reply from a kop regular.
Ive been a few times in the kop the last couple of years, and I hear that people moan about too many tourists.but why would this affect the regular season ticket holders leading the chorus?
Were seond in the league playing fantastic football. am I missing something, or can someone please explain why the kop regulars who start the songs have gone quiet? Is it a case of some of the old guard are getting on a bit? Maybe waro (who I know is a regular) can share some info (especially after a positive day).

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Some of us old school supporters are enjoying the football and the team are doing all the music on the pitch.

Agree0 Disagree0

One game at a time, lads. and BTW for the doom mongers who say we haven`t improved, it took us 17 GAMES to reach 22 POINTS last term but to them, we are regressing. Cluelessness is bliss!

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Nov 2013 16:53:29
Grate win today keep it up later lads

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What doubters? realists more like, when Gerrard plays badly he looks his age, when he plays well he looks great, it calling a spade a spade mate! not glossing over the truth, there's not one LFC fan that wants him to not play well, but when he does he has to suffer the flack like every other player.

Agree0 Disagree0

And another thing, we need him to do it against the top teams, not the one's who play with no heart!

Agree0 Disagree0

What, do you mean like he has all his career except maybe a few games this year!

Agree0 Disagree0

When players do not play well it is the time for the supporters to get behind them, not give them flack and make them suffer .

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Nov 2013 16:52:31
What a way to shut up all the doubters 2 assists (3 if u count the cross for the OG) for captain fantastic. Though we played some really high class stuff today. Coutinho showed his presence in a big way. Suarez looked sharp. Henderson was probably my MOM today. Some of our pressing was brilliant, 70% possession albeit against Fulham, not bad at all

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I have exactly the same doubts about Gerrard and our midfield as I did before the game. We still eed better players in there.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Nov 2013 16:20:46
He's a great goalscorer, Sturridge. But he is frustratingly greedy sometimes.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed, the players were having fun today but I thought sturridge was angry. Great display though :)

Agree0 Disagree0

That is the mentality of a ruthless finisher which is SHOULD be applauded PROVIDED it is channeled in the right way. No problem with that at all.

Just to put into perspective how close the season is so far, we could potentially drop as low as 8th this weekend.

Although that is highly unlikely and I can see a comfortable win against Fulham it just shows that we can't become complacent and need to keep working hard in every game.

Sturridge to score first.

hi eds BBC reporting BR has asked for money for 2 big signings in January to get champions league. Do you think he will get the funds, I certainly hope so then we can have a real chance of finishing in the top 4 {Ed002's Note - I would forget it - it is no more than speculation. What is a "big signing"? What we know is that Rodgers wants a couple of players to come in during the January window and I am sure that the owners will be supportive within reason - hence Rodgers mentioning affordability.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Red til dead, I think the owner's would
Would be more worried about the
25m worth of talent doing nothing at
The moment, ilori, Alberto, aspes
surely there are players in the
Reserves who could be doing the job
There doing, there not exactly ripping
Up any trees with there performances
are they, the money could of been
better used for the here and now.

Agree0 Disagree0

He will get the funds and he wants 2 players but will they be available in January? {Ed002's Note - There remains clear interest in Will Hughes Chris - and he was considered well overpriced by Derby in the summer and will now cost more. I would think Liverpool would like to hang on until the summer for him but then they risk losing him to others. Enquiries about the likes of Matic who Rodgers already knows as a player will probably hit the wall over price. It will also be difficult for the owners as they are aware of the FFP rules and will be aware that they are one of the two clubs from England that stand a chance of European qualification that will have failed the financial tests in each of the three years leading to it being introduced.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Wembley, Ilori and Alberto are both what, 20? And Aspas had a slow start, and is now injured. We can't invest all of our money "in the here and now", not really sure what that means anyways. You can't buy 5 28 year olds in their prime or you'll be broke and screwed in 4 years. If you're going to dog the players, at least make it somewhat understandable. This statement has no backing whatsoever.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tjred aspes is a fish out of water, he's
a Sunday league player at best,
we've all ready got a player out on
Loan who has had a slow start his
name is BORINI another wasted
10m, RODGERS is looking for 2 players
In jan to go straight in to the team,
brave players he said he wants not
Slow burners, the likes of aspas,
Alberto, are blocking the path of youth
The money needs to be spent wisely
if we don't have a present there won't
any future. {Ed002's Note - Quite frankly I pity the Liverpool players who have to put up with so called "fans" like you.}

Hi Eds

Think it was Ed002 that said if lfc could sign any defender in the last transfer window it would have been Sakho.

Your obviously a big fan of his Ed so my question is in your opinion how do you feel he is getting on?

I highly rate him & think he will become one of the best defenders in the league over the next few seasons, but don't know as if I'd play him ahead of agger at the minute.

So yeah just wondering your about your opinion mate?

{Ed002's Note - I have only seen a couple of games but he needs to adjust to the way Liverpool are playing still - as do much of the defence to be honest. Naturally he will want to move forward with the ball and that may not be something Rodgers wants with the way he is looking to play. He is a very good player, have no doubts about that. He also has a very clear target this season and is playing for a World Cup place. He has been watched on at least one occasion by an ex-French international on behalf of Deschamps - and will continue to be watched.}
