With some level of intetest in both Vietto and Ings To arrive in the summer. Who woukd be the better fit please in your opinion? And which one is more probable please?

Vietto would be great signing imo. He is the type of player who could take us to the next level while Ings is injury prone and a squad player at best. He will simply be another English player brought by City for their English quota or by Utd to be 2nd choice to Rooney and RVP. No big loss for LFC there imo. Vietto on the other hand reminds me of Aguero somehow with his sudden burst of pace and brilliant positioning. U just know he is going to be special when u watch him play. Hope the club pays up for him as the lad will certainly worth his weight in gold.

Why the sudden change in likelihood? Not too long ago I'm sure Ed002 posted that our chances of Vietto were slim.

Where do u see ings ending up ed?
{Ed001's Note - it does look like he will be joining United as things stand, but there is a while to go until the summer, no telling whether United will still want him, or if Southampton make the Champions League, in which case I would expect him there.}

a friend of mine drinks with ings, and ings has said his preferred choice is us.

Well I would sell all my fringe players and add up every penny to get Vietto. I have seen him play twice in Spain and he looks brilliant player to me.
You don't find a lot many two footed striker these days.
He is the closest to Aguero. Versatile and perfect fit in our quick pass and move system.
Him and countinho behind Sturridge would be one heck of attacking line.

Cheers for reply Ed. Strange how things change in short Space of time As Ings was looking a cert. what's changed there then please? And have we made advances towards Vietto then? Only other thing i would say is thst if both options are "slim" then that's a bit worrying as we defo need a Striker.

Lavers, Ings is just about the right height IMO
