edd if the owners are considering replacing Rodgers then my questions is, would it not be best to do it now? my reason being go all out and get the manager you want yes pay to get them out of there contracts pay Rodgers off but the benefits from having the manager for the last 6 or 7 games could be massive gets to see wat we need or don't, gets to work with the players and to no them, and also the players to get used to the way the managers wants them to play. this I believe would be massive for hitting the ground running next season wat you think?

{Ed001's Note - I do agree personally.}

any chance or deep down do I no the answer?

{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't expect any change just yet.}

Who is available though? De Boer and Klopp wouldn't be available until end of season if at all. Doubt the owners will take any knee jerk reaction

04 Apr 2015 16:01:51
I agree to but the problem is no manager is going to abandon their current club during the run in in there respective leauge.

I'm with you both on this. Ed001, is there any update with regards DoF and head coach? just wondering whether FSG have at least made some contact with agents!

{Ed001's Note - nothing new yet, though I will ask during the week after the dust settles.}

No manager will leave their respective club this close to the end of the season. Brendan doesn't deserve to keep his job but you have to wonder what kind of attraction we are for a top manager without champions league football and having a squad of players who simply aren't good enough.

Most of the summer kitty will have to be made up of sales. Frank de Boer would have been the best and most realistic option but he's signed a new deal. You can of course forget your Klopp's, Simeone's etc.

The squad is fine. We just need to add 3-4 players who can help us go a level above.

If BR gets sacked tomorrow, it would hardly be a knee-jerk reaction, he has been asking for it for a long time now and he can't have any complaints when he is sacked.

Ed001 "nothing new yet, though I will ask during the week after the dust settles"

Thanks mate. I hope they have started the ball rolling as it's looking rather bleak now with getting 4th (though miracles do happen!). Even getting 4th, imo, still isn't enough to keep him if he still doesn't accept the help he so badly needs.

Btw, has he been given any advice recently on handling the media? i'm asking this because he's still making stupid comments. And the one today where he said "I thought Sterling was outstanding today" goes beyond the beyond.

{Ed001's Note - he has been told numerous times, he just doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut.}

Even if Brendan is going to lose his job at the end of the season what's the point in doing anything yet we have a big cup match coming up then a semi final hopefully.

04 Apr 2015 17:37:20
Ed001 if he were to be sacked now, could they not just give the job to someone within the club just until the end of the season? Can we honestly do any worse?

I was a fan of Brendan last season and thought he was on to something, but this season just shows he's out of his depth. I'd take Kenny back right now, just until the end of the season obviously

{Ed001's Note - not sure that would be a good idea.}

I really don't understand what the manager is sayin wrong .eds what the hell is wrong with you lot its like a witch hunt to get him out. I really don't think any of you have a clue about the sport apart from the admin side of things. What a joke .

{Ed001's Note - or perhaps you are just a bit simple and don't understand? Considering I have had to edit every one of your posts to remove abuse aimed at other posters, I am going to have to assume you are an idiot that we are better off without your understanding.}

Neither do you, Can! BR talks too much and souds like a self-serving politician who takes responsibility for NOTHING. No need to have played pro footie to know that. All you have to do is listen attentively and with an open mind. His failures are there for us all to see and the owners will not spare him if they think he needs to go REGARDLESS of how many excuses you and many of yor ilk make for him. He has failed and broken promises he made to the owners an he will have to answer for that.
