Hey folks - didn't get a chance to watch the game due to the crippling time difference (i'm living in Taiwan) - can anyone tell me how Jordan Ibe got on? know he is coming back from injury but did he look decent?

Agree0 Disagree0

He did ok for someone coming back from injury, he was really tired, made a few good runs and won some free kicks, won't be long until he's back on top.

Well he did come back from injury so hard to judge but let's say that some of the suggestions here that we can get rid of Sterling because Ibe is the next Sterling or soemthing along these lines are a bit well, how would we say it, not funny.

Ibe was awful, whether you are returning from injury or not it shouldn't affect your ability to play a simple pass.

Muok. He's a kid! Lay off him, he's returning from injury and has only just broken into the first team. He's going to have an off day every now and then

You've got to love this. Ibe is a kid and deserves lenience but the year older Sterling an be slaughtered for fun?

I'm absolutely disgusted by how the club, Rodger, Sterling and his agent have dealt with his contract.

Sterling is still a kid as well though. He's been around so long we tend to forget this. However, if they underperform, there is nothing wrong with constructive criticism.

I would like to add though muok, you clearly have never played football if you think that. I spent 3 months out with ankle ligament damage and my first touch and passing went pear shaped. It's easier in training with no pressure, but in a game when you're rushing your thoughts you make mistakes if you're no match sharp. Ib isn't immune to constructive criticism, but you've been really harsh there muok.

{Ed002's Note - His contract will be nothing to do with Rodgers - his only mistake has been discussing all of this in public.}

He's 20 and a father. He is no kid in the real world. He makes his own decisions, money, pipes, gas, loving Arsenal, tv interviews whatever it's all up to him. No one tells anyone who does or will earn £100k AWEEK what to do. Stop keep calling him a kid or naive. Anyone here who has been or is 20 will know right and wrong, they'll know if sucking on pipes or gas as an athlete is right or wrong, talking on TV about money etc. don't always feel the need to defend and protect 20 yr old young men.

As a 21 year old really struggling to adapt to adult life to the point I've been diagnosed with depression, I find your post to be very narrow minded, out dated and ignorant.

Sterling is young. I'll judge him as a player but not as a person. I don't know him and neither do you.

14 Apr 2015 14:05:18
Well to be fair to him Ed002 it is the club that went public with it first, not Sterling.

{Ed002's Note - Right - Rodgers. Tried reading more slowly.}

BR and SG started this circus and NOT Sterling so lay off the boy. As for Mouk criticizing a mere child for playing the game after over a month out injured, you must be ashamed of yourself with such a pathetic post

15 Apr 2015 07:38:05
Well that escalated somewhat. From what I can gather from the posts here he did ok, wasn't great, but returning from injury he can be forgiven somewhat for an under stated performance. Thanks for the info folks.
