Good to see Ed002 trying to explain how we and Rodgers/TC has fail on the field. when we had the ffp muscle we mishandled it or a different manager may still bring out the best from the current crops of squad. a good manager would still utilise Gerrard to the best of effect for the club. as the Ed002 said Rodgers is more a PR figure than a manager, he is the cause of every sticks that he gets from the fanbase. i hope the rumours of De Boer or Rafa is true, looking at the former records i wouldn't frown upon him being our next manager, 4tittles in an underrated league by being a feeder club to european big spenders. i hope the owners would not lure to his BR sweet talks.

It is highly unlikely that Rafa will ever manage LFC again. Since leaving LFC he has not gone one to wow the footballing world.

There is a difference between winning the Europa League by being knocked out of the Champions League and having to start the Europa League from the group stages and then working your way from the bottom to win it. Rafa has also twice shown that he is not good enough for the EPL and has not only wasted loads of cash at LFC but also at Napoli.

They say never look back and one thing is for sure, FSG when they sack Rodgers would have picked up on many things since buying LFC and one of those things is fan sentiment. FSG would be digging their own grave if they appoint Rafael Benitez as in the eyes of the fans (well those who worship Rafa) Rafa is like a god and can do no wrong. FSG will not be thinking of putting themselves in a situation where one individual can bring them to their knees. Sentiment luckily is not anywhere near FSG's vocabulary.

Rafa to LFC ain't happening.

As a side note to the OP, I, and many others appreciate your efforts in trying to make people here understand how things need to be changed for LFC to achieve on field success, though unfortunately there are still a lot of people who simply refuse to comprehend all this.

Or maybe just have a different opinion to which they are entitled

"never go back" e.g. mourinho to chelsea?

All good posts! CR, they might have a diff opinion BUT there has to be some logic to said opinion, backed up by facts on the ground. What we have here contrarily, are people making, suppositions, senseless innuendos and appalling apologies for BR's failures and blunders, none of which are backed up by facts on the ground as we know them to be. I will not name names but you can read some of these comments and see for yourself. As one politician used to say, "we can have diff opinions but cannot have diff facts".

redkenyan, Mourinho's CV puts Rafa's to shame i.e. an exception to the rule.

Please can we stop with the subliminal references to people.
I am not a bully and I respect everyone's opinion on here.
Without question.
I may disagree but I respect everyone's opinion and their entitlement to have an opinion.
Absolutely everyone.
But this is turning nasty now when people don't refer to posters by their names.
I have read a couple posts today from people who's opinions I respect referring directly to me without having the gumption to just use my name.
I do not bite.
I am completely approachable.
I welcome anyone's opinion on anything that I have to say.
And I have never abused anyone on this site.
But I have disagreed with many.
But it seems because I have a different opinion I am now being targeted without people using my name.
There is a word for that.
It is exactly what I was accused of earlier.
The irony is not lost on me.

Jonnybarnes, I think everyone appreciates that you have an opinion mate, at least I certainly do. But I cannot agree to your views, just like some of the others can't too, so I do hope this hasn't put you off from posting again here.

CR, nobody has said they can't have an opinion man, you are just making sbite up.

AG, I would never force anyone to have the same opinion mate.
I appreciate other people's viewpoints as well.
And no, I won't stop posting.
That is the easy way out isn't it.
The thought did cross my mind today though.
I simply love the site though and I love talking about Liverpool so why would I want to stop posting?
