i am very pleased that we are getting Milner, he has a lot oif experiece, energy and is a TEAM PLAYER, we can't really go wrong with him i know a ood few on here don't like him or want him but i hope these fans will hold their hands up on this site andsay how wrong they were about him, i will even go as far as saying he could turn out our best signing of the summer, i do think he will hit the ground running and show us what he has got, he will work his socks off for the team and is better than a lot of players we have at the moment his work ethinc is amazing signing him is the right direction and i hope the cllub continue to sign players like milner, put it this way he won't be a bad signing and he has never really had a great run of games at city but they have always kept him plus he will score important goals, i think the reason man city won the prem last season was mostly down to milner because they were finding it tough when they played us last season he came on and turned the game in their favour and he stayed in the side and because of his work rate and experience it helped them so much, if anyone does not believe me look at the man city's run in and see how he played and how the team played with him in it, for me him and jordan henderson will make a great partnership and they will turn games in our favour with their energy and goals

Agreed mate.
I said it the other day about Milner.
It makes sense that many of his international teammates play for our club and he wouldn't have to re-locate to play for us.
We will be one hard team to beat with both him and Henderson in midfield, and I don't say that lightly.
I'm sure I'm open to abuse on this one but this is a typical Rodgers signing this one.
Oh yeah, optimistic I know, but he'll give us some grit and would give any team captain competition.
It makes so much sense.

We are recruiting Milner for striker and will play Sturridge at right back to help avoid injury. It has Rodgers written all over it.

i have to agree with the 1st and 2nd replies , this signing is a no brainer because he is a player with a great attitude a great work ethic and over all a great team player if he can't score an easy goal he will pass it to a player who has a better chance and yes he can play is a few positions tjred BR likes these types of players but he should use this as a last resort not 1st choice , why can't BR just pick a formation where players don't get played out of position it would be so refreshingfor our team to have players playing in their correct positions and playing week in week out which would mean we have a settled team sometime i think you can't blame the players because they don't even know what position to play , i remember lucas and joe allen bumping into each other on the pitch in one game ,that was down to BR telling the player where to play if it baffles me and other fans imagine the players

Probably bought him in to challenge Migs for 1st choice keeper berth,Cann Hendo have to be the future central mid pairing,so where would (here we go)Couts,Sterling,Ibe,Llana,Ojo,Marko and any others I've forgotten/are in the youth team going to fit in this lopsided team.Personally really rate the guy and would improve the squad but is it what we need more than 2 quality strikers

Totally agree with sentiments about Milner. Professional, tireless, dependable. Pick Milner and you know he will give you 100% and is tactically astute.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if he is a target because Brendan wants to play him at RWB. Hopefully we conclude a deal regardless of the manager because I really like this player. In fact I have been a fan of him since I was a little boy, I remember on LFC's site they had an option on each player profile "send an e-mail to this player", and for whatever reason I decided to e-mail Xabi Alonso telling him to tell Rafa to sign Milner! I was 10 and I paraded this e-mail proudly to all my friends too, there is a cute little story for you.

Sorry but Milner is not a great player. He's going to be 30 next year and getting to the end of his career. He's very one paced, not terrific in Any one position and not the answer to any of our considerable problems, is he a good winger? No he's like Downing, is he a good centre midfielder?
No he's a headless chicken, runs around lots but not strong enough to in the tackle and doesn't have the intelligence of a Mascherano or Lucas. Poor signing and if that's the kind of player we're going for, then I'm writing the next few seasons off.
