I know we're a fickle lot but I can't believe the turn around of some you lot? RODGERS NEEDS TO BE GOT SHUT OF! The whole season has been a shambles ( up til about xmas our leading scorer was OWN goals ffs! ) Going on about losing Suarez ( yawn) and telling us we have short memories? He is the one who won't let us forget last season! Sir Bob, Ronnie Moran an Smokin Joe Fagan never let us rest on our laurels! what happened last season was ( usually a title win and eurpean cup win / final) was old news! Seems all Rodgers wants to do is tell us how great he is and how it was his doing last year ( what did we win? ) and basque in his own importance! We're meant to be 5th because that's where we are at? yet Spurs spend 100 million and need to win the league he says? King Kenny done more in 18 months than he has in 3 years! Broke up his team that had just got to TWO cup finals to make one that bows out of the promised land with not even a wimper, and bores us with the worst performance in a semi by a Liverpool team I have ever seen ( 40 yrs a fan) Wants to sign the so called top players? this is the man who as we know wanted rid of 3 of his now stalwarts ( and his future capt)? yes he Knows what he wants does Brendan. One last point no matter how crude/rude/daft the plane and its message was today keep in mind that probably our player of the season and Brendans darling ( Couthino) was recommended by . ? Rafa! I don't really care if he came back or not but 100% have him over Rodgers! Discipline over dithering any day!! I had nothing to do with the plane but if I thought it would make FSG take note I'd land it on Fenway park!

I want Rodgers out more than anyone but the plane was embarrassing, what sort of fans are we if we can't support the club on the pitch. Also 'rafa in' was as cringe worthy as Brendan Rodgers press conferences. Rafa i as much as step backwards as keeping Rodgers in my opinion.
Furthermore if the owners are as easily swayed by a plane flying overhead that says Rodgers out then they really aren't fit to run the club. Surely they are aware of the dry reservoirs of goodwill most of the fans have towards Rodgers and his monumental failures this season.
Why not spent the money that was spent on the plane doing something constructive, donate to the Hillsborough victims and vent your frustrations online, sent in a letter or a email etc., even more embarrassing when put into perspective regarding the loss suffered by Rio Ferdinand.

The bottom line is only the winners are winners. Second (and below) is losers.
I.m an old man. I'll tell you youngsters about Liverpool fans expectations of old and all this 'support your team' nonsense. I've actually been at a game when we were kings of europe where we won 3-0 and we boo'd the team off the pitch for being lazy.
If you accept mediocrity the mediocrity is what you'll get and mediocrity is all you deserve.
It's not the players you are supporting. It's not the club you are supporting. It's the honour and the pride - and second best is not accetable. At all. Ever.

The plane was apparently paid for by Manchester United fans guys. I use the word apparently because of course I have no proof, only going on what has been doing the rounds.
On a separate note, I'd like to pass my sincere condolences on to Rio and the entire Ferdinand family. It's very sad when anyone so young passes away and especially when young kids are left without a parent, god bless them.

Lb, I share your views completely. BR is a failure, a politician and a hack who seems only interested in being a manager at a big club but is not interested in actually BEING the manager as in, doing his job. He is a self-serving excuse for an individual who will do anything and say anything to avoid taking responsibility for his inexhaustible list of blunders and will trash anyone he needs to trash, including the owners (by saying he needs more top players whereas these same owners gave him 200m plus to do that) to save face in the media. We better get rid of this guy because mediocrity is unacceptable and the moment you start accepting failure due to fear of daring to be better, then failure is who you will become. GET RID NOW.
PS: my condolences and prayers to the Ferdinand family for their loss. RIP, Mrs. Ferdinand!

Lenin: I assume you're not as old as me then, because I remember watching us before we were "Kings of Europe" and I have never boo'd my own team.
Unfortunately men who grew up in the 70's and 80's were spoilt when it comes to LFC. When they were in their most impressionable years LFC was synonymous with success.
Those who grew up in the 90's (Sky generation) only know the impatient instant success desired by Sky's premier league and are only used to high player and manager turn over.
Shankly's vision/philosophy was not built overnight. It involved everyone from the cleaners to the manager fans and players giving 100% to the cause and then everyone sharing in the success. It did not involve fans turning on the manager and themselves or indeed booing the team at matches!
If you like it's similar to what Dave Brailsford achieved with GB cycling. Making continuous small incremental improvements ultimately achieving massive success.
We used to all pull in the same direction. Now we all take lumps out of each other.
