Listen guys, I am all for replacing BR, i've been asking for it for months, but the abuse he gets is not right. Its not like he is trying to be bad, he just doesn't seem to know any better. After all, he is still part of the team, hopefully not for long, so let's at least try to be respectful. I just don't like the bashing coaches and players of my team get, whether they deserve it or not

I agree, Steph. A change of management, or structure, in my opinion will be good for Liverpool FC, but no human being, in any walk of life should be subjected to vile or below the belt abuse. After all Brendan is a man, in my opinion, who tried his best, to make Liverpool great again, just like, Kenny, Roy and Rafa.
I myself in my life journey, have failed. I've been sacked too, in my working life, but it doesn't mean you, me or Brendan deserves to be villified. Let the man go with dignity if that is his fate.

Maybe if he was a bit more humble about his short comings in setting the team out to lose rather than making it everyone else's fault but his own, people would be more tolerant. Not to mention his stupid statement re 5th is where we are and how he is the best man for the job. He won't admit he's made mistakes because he doesn't think he has! Even the best managers can admit when they got something wrong but BR is incapable of understanding his errors let alone learning from them.

Its human nature unfortunately Swish. He's just one of us. He has a self protect mode like we do, he has an arrogance like we do, and we will be sacked like we do, when we don't get the required results. I don't feel sorry for him, with his mega salary, but I don't like any soul being villified for trying. When he's gone, it will be history, and every morning brings a new day. He's had the dignity to say how honoured he is to be our manager, for as long as it lasts. That to me is humility at least. He's presented his neck. Its down to FSG now.

His antics attract the abuse he gets, simple. He brings it all on himself and last I checked, nobody abused his wife, GF or kids. People give him stick for his long list of shortcomings that he is unwilling to improve on. If you feed the animals, you will get bitten

I think fans have been vocal about needing to sack him because for some reason nobody in the media has turned on him. All the pundits think he's a good manager but I can't see why

04 May 2015 10:48:21
They think he's a good manager because he is a good manager. He's inexperienced, as everyone agrees, but he's taken on one of the biggest clubs in the country with enormous (unrealistic) expectations and he's taken us closer to the premier league title than any manager in 25 years. Yet he is abused and ridiculed on this forum like some kind of outcast.

{Ed002's Note - He has failed miserable whilst wasting vast sums of money. The club is ranked 42 in Europe and will be lower by the start of next season.}

I'd say the club has wasted the money and Rodgers had a part in that but is not totally responsible(Mario)
Last season we were ahead of schedule, the last 12 months have been a big step backwards.
Doesn't necessarily make him a bad manager. I'm sure Jose regarded last season as a failure but it doesn't make him a bad manager and he's proven his quality this season.

(Ps - not about Chelsea, just the easiest recent example of poor season followed by great season by a good manager)

Mourihno is afforded more than one season because he's won countless things and inherited a squad that wasn't his own. A few tweaks and they win the league 12 months later. BR doesn't know how to win and will waste another 3 years at our club trying to figure out how to be one.
