I've been reading some of the posts on here recently and to be quite frank I've been disgusted by the abuse that some 'fans' like to dish out! Glen Johnson maybe a poor player but the least we can do is support him and get behind our team!
Steven Gerrard is another player who seems to have taken much of the stick too! I think I read a post the other day saying "the sooner he goes the better". Gerrard is a club legend for crying out loud! He's stuck with us through thick and thin and when he leaves the club people seem to forget that! Also another thing people forget is that he is almost 35! Not many players will make it that far at the highest level and Gerrard is a pure example of professionalism and example!
Come on everyone, get behind the team you love and think about what you're saying!
P.s Get behind Brendan too! The guy's our manager and until he is sacked there shouldn't be any ridiculous comments about him

I totally agree on Gerrard's abuse absolute disgrace! even now with age catching him up he still made me jump up out my seat and punch the air with his cameo against the Mancs! you can't buy that passion! Rodgers I have give loads of stick about! I can't hide my feelings mate! I'm old school heart on a sleeve Souness / McMahon / Carra if your not prepared to bleed for my team your not worthy! I don't think Rodgers would?

this site is built on opinions, if all we talked about was what a legend gerrard was it would be pretty boring. players get prised when they deserve it and likewise when they don't. Johnson, yes he's our player but he's been on a fat wage and hasn't shown half the commitment in the last 2 years as he did prior to that. Gerrard is a legend but most would agree he should have been a bit part player this season at most. some may be a bit more animated in their criticism but that's what opinions do. don't even want to go into BR criticism - that has been brought upon by the stupidity of his comments, tactics, team selection and purchases.

Gerrard is a legend end of.
Rodgers has made mistakes but so does every manager. He has never disgraced the club or the fans and does not deserve the abuse dished out.

Is this the Glen Johnson who plays at Liverpool your talking about?
Hes also not a good defender but a below average one for a top prem team.
If he actually put in the effort to track back now and again you could say he's an average defender for a top prem team at best. In fact even that's being kind, he seems well past it these days.

Why should fans stand by Johnson when 90% of the time he can't even be arsed playing, he doesn't deserve any support.
Gerrard on the other hand deserves full support for what he's done for the club, its just down to the fact his legs can't handle it anymore.

Totally agree scouse Gerard could have had a decent season playing 20 mins a game in an attacking midfield role, instead he's been misused when his legs can't hack it.

Oh please, glen johnson has ability but clearly has been disinterested and bored for way too long now, somebody playing for liverpool on £100,000 a week and manages to look that bored and has sucha lack of commitment, is everything that's wrong with football.
Rodgers thinks he is also bigger than the club and is driving us into the ground with his arrogance.
Gerrard deserves respect and yes, is a legend, but also has made many fans realise recently that he has been afforded too much power and pandering towards him at liverpool - it is the right time to go, probably later than what it should have been to be honest.
Its only a matter of wanting what's best at the club.
