Rodgers' latest verbal nonsense about resisting taking Gerrard off during the QPR match - "I heard some fans behind me shouting for him to be taken off - and that was before the penalty miss".
How much worse can it get? Our captain, who on his penultimate home game, has to be told that the fans wanted him subbed. Why can't BR just shut the hell up and not say any little thing that may put him in a positive light. Just because he resisted the sub, and gerrard scored the winner, BR wants the media to think he's some sort of tactical genius. Gerrard and the fans know that he's not the player he was in recent years, but BR's comment will put a dampener on the special relationship between the player and fans. I cannot remember any of our previous managers mention anything negative of what may be heard on the terraces at Anfield, especially when it shines a negative light on a player let alone a player who is leaving in a few games after 20 odd years at the club.
BR surely should be walking a very tight rope but gut instinct tells me he will be at the helm next season. Sadly, for fans of other clubs, it seems BR is a gift who just keeps giving.

He likes to pat himself on the back and refer to himself in the 3rd person like "well done Brendan Rodgers, you ate your vegetables today, let's tell everyone"

The owners have told and warned him repeatedly about his shameless handling of media presses YET he has continued to be a minefield in the media and is insulting their authority by not heeding their warnings, he will be sacked for his overall failures and that is a fact

Cos he wants to take credit ( as he always does) for making the decision to leave him on (ie I know better than the fans)
reality is we probably wouldn't have been drawing with one of the worst teams in the league , at home, if gerrard hadn't started in the first place.

No Ron League. The fact Rodgers has to say it is the point being made.
Any normal person would have no need to bring that up and Rodgers constantly has this in interviews. I am sure it could also be termed verbal .
He continually loves to give himself a pat on the back whilst criticizing and deflecting any blame from himself.
Not only is this cringing to watch! It is downright embarrassing to our club.
I am not one to call for heads but Rodgers needs to go for the sake of our clubs reputation.

A good manager would heap praise on the players and deflect critisisim from them onto himself or anybody apart from the players.
Rodgers must of had a teeth whitening appointment when they learned that at manager school.

It's strange to think that someone worked with Jose, is so poor at handling his interviews.
Every single time the Chelsea team are criticised, Jose will deflect everything onto himself to take the media away from the team. Rodgers does the complete opposite, he's a managerial genius in his eyes.

Was it Rodgers decision? Yes
Did he take him off before he scored the winner? No.
So who do you want to take the credit?
FFS the man can do nothing right in some people's eyes.
By all means criticise his mistakes on the field but so long as he doesn't disrespect the club in his interviews everything else he says is meaningless.

The owners should then tell him to pack his bag s and leave.
It doesn't matter if we reach top 4 can you imagine our team against Europe's elite.
Disaster.
I reckon that BOODGERS can't BELIEVE HE HASN'T BEEN SACKED.because if you apply the rules Kenny was judged on he shiuld be gone.

Ron, the prob is that BR is now becoming a complete joke in the media. You may not know this but the any great manager will tell you that if the team loses, he takes the blame. If you win, it's the players. BR has not learned this fundamental truth and that will forever be his downfall. Even Ancelotti, never deflects, criticizes his players when they lose. He just takes the blame and says very little. BR said what he said in order to take the credit for leaving SG on and because no one gave him credit for it, he took it by making that pointless comment. BR has no credibility except the little he gets from the hacks in the media who will never criticize him because he's a gift that keeps on giving due to the relentless motor in his mouth. And that will be his downfall along with his complete managerial and tactical incompetence.

He said individual errors which happens. He did not mention any culprits by name because by that expression, you would know who they are if you watched the game and all coaches do that. What coaches do not do, is what BR does which is to always open his mouth unnecessarily, talking trash in the public, never knowing when to NOT answer a question and then, give his opinion on the most absurd of things when it is not needed. BR is the only coach I have seen in my 30 plus years of following footie, who does not know when to shut it, takes responsibility for nothing, allegedly lies just to take credit for things he did not do (heard he allegedly tried to take credit for introducing Raheem into the first team whereas KK did that), and will trash anybody and make a scapegoat if anybody just to absorb himself of blame. Did I also mention he is a aweful tactician?
