Dutch press:depay sign for united.
PSV coach Cocu told all the players when they were training.
This will hurt us badly, Depay is a great player just another 1 slipped away.
Malta

{Ed002's Note - This won't hurt Liverpool at all. No one slipped away.}

Plenty more fish in the sea, especially when striker and right back are priorities. We still have Sterling and Ibe in Depay's position.

I am happy UTD signed Depay. Just imagine if UTD had signed Bale instead of Depay. :)

The sooner people realise Liverpool isn't the huge attraction they think it is the better. Why would he join a mid table team that has so many faults it's like a real life version of the old sky 1 programme dream team.

07 May 2015 12:05:05
Glad that it happened so soon, maybe it will make people realize that such kind of players are not going to join us. Just hope that some club will buy Lacazette soon, so people will stop asking if he will join LFC.

I would far prefer for us to simply keep Sterling. Depay was only looked at as a potential replacement, if I am not mistaken. We have Ibe, Lallana and Marcovic anyways, not to mention that Origi can play further back as well.
I would much rather a player of the Vietto or Son type, that could play either as a mobile forward or as a second striker. Someone who could play both with and without Sturridge - that is what we so desperately need.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has certainly been making provisions for the departure of Dterling by looking at wide players.}

It is dissapointing but suppose we need to go onwards. He was always going to go there. Tbh if Sterlings staying i'm not sure were he would of fitted in. This Paul George Ntep geezer looks decent anyhow and i'm sure we will be i'm for multiple players over next few months.

I so much agree to this. Like I said in my previous post. Liverpoolfc are no more attractive to players, even young prospects except for mid table players across Europe which is not what Liverpool needs right now regardless of where we end the season. I think we need a new chapter some with a record that could attract players just like Van Goal is in Man U. YNWA !!

I have a worring feeling BR will be in charge next season and waste more money on the likes of Ntep (who the fudge is he???) and Sheyi Ojo and Ryan Kent who are more than ready for chances in the first team get sent out on pointless loans! Or worse feel like they have no future at the club. It would be CRIMINAL if the likes of Ojo,Kent,Wilson,Sinclair are not first team regulars in a couple of years time.

If we are not attractive as a club to players, I can't understand why so many witch-hunters think we will be attractive to managers if we sack ours.

We won't.

Hey ed02, just to clarify something - you or ed01 mentioned earlier that Son is looked at as an alternative of Vietto (too expensive) - this means that he is not being looked at as an option in case Sterling leaves, but rather as a forward (probably to replace Balo), correct?
From all the targets mentioned thus far, I believe that Son along with a right back if Manquillo leaves is all that we really need. Not even too sure about the need of CM if Lucas stays, though Milner would provide a better option than Allen.
Thanks!

{Ed002's Note - It will be nothing to do with Sterling.}

07 May 2015 13:22:22
Sterling is a good player, but his medium/long range passing isn't great and his shot power and accuracy leaves a lot to be desired. I think 50m is a massive overvaluation.

Ron, when has sacking managers ever stopped other managers from being interested in those very clubs? Have you followed football for the last 20 years? Sacking a manager after 3 unsuccessful years of winning absolutely nothing is called ambition.

07 May 2015 13:36:29
We had CL and money this season YET no top signing wanted to come so there lies the issue. We are not an attractive pull mainly because we have failed to make CL for those five years. Consistent CL footie keeps you attractive and competitive and if we can't offer that on a regular basis, we will continue to struggle. As for Depay, he was not a priority because he would be a replacement for Raheem and he is not a striker hence, not needed. We need goals and we must focus our resources on that as well as a RB if Flanno or the others can't make it. As for Ntep, WTF?

07 May 2015 16:19:08
Dwarf, you want to get Internet access on your boat and research what happened the last time we sacked a manager.
Quite a few didn't want to come then.
The point is it is clear top players don't consider us an attractive team, so by the same logic why would a top manager see us any differently?

07 May 2015 19:33:34
I disagree, Ron. Managers in general belong to a more cultured group of people than players. They tend to care more about the history and culture of a club than shopping for diamonds and ferraris in big cities.
