From all account's, it look likely that we will land Ings, In my opinion I would prefer to see us go after Charlie Austin. From what games I have seen he is a better player & finisher. Maybe offer cash & Lambert I think we would get a slightly better forward.
Who do you think is better?

Austin I rate better but is he more than a squad player? We need to be targeting first 11 players.

Ings, whilst he may not be the top teir of player we all crave, I think he can be a very good assest for us.
In the few games I've seen of him this year, his movement really stands out for me. He maybe isn't a top class finisher but with his movement off of defenders there's no reason he couldn't score goals for us.
Based on that alone, I think he's already an upgrade on all of our options barring Sturridge. That being said, I do like Austin as well, but Ings would probably be a better fit for us out of the two.

I would rather we got neither, like AG said. We need better players because bar one season of PL exp, I don`t see any upgrade in Ings over origi, tbh. I`ll be happy to be proven wrong, tho
