Surely this Klopp story of him saying to freinds he would like to manage us, is the same story from yesterday regarding Ancelotti.

It's almost word for word even.
Don't get me wrong would love him to join, but can't believe the papers over anything especially when the story is so similar to one regarding another manager joining us.

But when ED'01 says it I believe him.

Cheers

{Ed001's Note - I don't know anything about Ancelotti or the story, but I have always been told Klopp would be open to joining us. I just don't want to get my hopes up as FSG just don't seem to be bothered to get him.}

FSG are secret squirrels, anything could be going on .

28 May 2015 18:01:54
Do they seem bothered in getting anyone though ed001?
Hopefully it will soon become clear.
FSG have certainly sorted out all the leaks.

{Ed001's Note - not right now they don't seem bothered, no.}

Why though, it doesn't make sense. Yes i know Rodgers will have to be paid off but your ideal manager is there who wants too come and the fans would love too. my only hope is they will go for him after Dortmunds last game. Surely letting Rodgers have any more time or input is a poor idea.

Hopefully that silence is a result of the club keeping their cards close rather than actual doing nothing though ed, here's hoping, it would be a bigger error than Commoli if they didn't try and get Klopp IMO.

Having read the Echo on line last night about FSGs track record with baseball managers I have an uncomfortable feeling he will be retained.

28 May 2015 19:03:05
If a manager of Klopp or Ancelotti's calibre, then surely FSG would be notified by their advisors and would at least enquire(when a new manager/coach is needed)? I mean it's not like you can ignore these kinds of managers, especially if the reports that they would join us are true.

{Ed002's Note - It really doesn't work like that.}

I've got to say if we don't even approach Klopp I with me utterly amazed. I'm starting to really worry about FSG.

What track record is that, exactly? I live in the U.S and FSG don`t mess around. they fired a manager who they gave tons of money to to sign big names and he failed, miserably in 2011. Sound familiar? After that, they hired another manager who won them the World Series the very next year. Point being, they will not keep BR and he will not talk his way out of the sack. paying him off is pocket change compared to how much he has and will lose them if they keep him even for six months which is pointless.

redohio,read below, sound familiar,I am suggesting last seasons near miss will possibly provide him with 1 last chance. I hope I am wrong & you are right.I advised you over 12 months ago in my opinion he was the wrong man for the job. The echo txt states
'FSG installed Grady Little, a move that almost, but not quite, brought glory to Fenway Park again.

In 2002, the Red Sox enjoyed a brilliant year winning 93 games but still a distant second to the New York Yankees in their division.

A year later, they did make the playoffs but in an infamous clash with the Yankees the Red Sox came up short.

Little’s tactics came into sharp focus and the heartbreaking loss to their deadliest rivals only strengthened FSG’s resolve. Despite Little’s fine numbers across two seasons – he oversaw 188 victories – the owners acted once more and the manager was gone. And rapidly too, just 11 days after.

Ed001 (if you're around) - what do you know of Mike Gordon, FSG's man at Liverpool who will head up the season review ?
And (either ed1/2) do you think FSG's record in US baseball holds any relevance at Liverpool ?
Merci.

{Ed002's Note - The baseball is of no relevance at all. I am not going to get in to discussing the owners as the fans have already turned on them.}

Curly noted, Kpm. However, the Red Sox won the WS in 2004 after almost 100 years of longing as well and the story I told was more recent than the story of 2002. I agree it could go both ways but based on recent events with KK and the manager I spoke about, I don't see BR keeping his job.
