Hi ed, Do you see any young players being given a chance next season? It seems our young players outperform our signings in many cases over the years, when given their chance.

I was specifically thinking of Brannagan and Harry Wilson, both immensely talented players, do you think they'll be given a go in the First team next season? Seems preferably to spending £20m on another Markovic

{Ed001's Note - it is impossible to say right now.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Read lots of posts on here from people saying we should give the youngsters more of a chance. Others demanding we should be challenging for top 4. My question is which top 4 team has put more than 1 youngster in their first team on a regular basis. I read somewhere that Man City hasn't played an academy player for something like 10 years. I can't think off hand of that many academy players playing for 1 of the top 4 teams. So what do people think, if we played more academy players but won zilch would that be acceptable or would they be calling for the managers head

We're is this track history of Jurgen getting all these academy players?

Scymelzer? Gotze!

What about sterling, ibe?

Gudogan, reus, hummels ls, lewo, blaz were all bought in

Ibe was forced upon Rodgers as he wasn't allowed to bring his favoured person in; FSG wouldn't sanction the spend

Klopp wouldn't have to play a load of academy players to be a success financially, 1or 2 a year would be nice. you listed a load of really good players he brought in there.
If he had a similar track record here he would be a huge success financially and on the pitch compared to Rodgers, Kenny, rafa etc.
Nobody expects him to eventually get a first 11 of ex academy players, we would expect him to help bring through the odd one while only buying in 1 or 2 for the first team and selling players at the right time also.
He's a great manager I am trying not to get into hysterics that we ain't tried getting him in yet haha

The time to give the youngsters a chance was last season when we were doing well,in games where your winning easily and giving them 20 mins at the end to build confidence,rogers didn't seem interested in doing that.if indeed rogers is still manager at the start of the season he will be under pressure frome the start and in that sort of atmosphere it's not the right time to start blooding yougsters

Hence, he is of no use and needs to be sacked for these kids to have a chance with us or their careers wrecked by a failure of a manager.

Do you have any idea who the club/Brendan rates especially highly?

Or what would your opinion be on our Brightest U21's?

{Ed001's Note - Brendan shows little regard for the U21s mate, though the ones that got in cup squads are the ones he rates highest.}

Agree totally redo his,even the young players he has brought in have been treated poorly,played out of position,substituted while playing well etc.

Rob, that is the thing with BR. He is consistent at being inconsistent. No wonder the players and staff are fed up with him. They can never know if he's coming or going. He has no regard for the U21 players so he buys their replacements then we all find out that they can't get a game because they aren't up to scratch so as a result, he buys more players to replace the ones he bought to replace the academy players. Loaned out Suso and bought Albertowho can't get a game, loaned out Wisdom and sold Kelly to bring in Manquillo who can't get a game, brought in Marko to loan out Ibe and then brings Ibe back and we all find out that Ibe should never have been loaned out just like Kelly should never have been sold. Rank incompetence! A manager with such managerial "skills" should be nowhere near Liverpool ever again.
