I see the Liverpool Echo have filled their front page with all the reasons to keep Rodgers in charge for next season.

It was only a matter of time after the dust settled down before they go back to extolling the virtues of Rodgers. Someone close to Rodgers feeds information to Pearce and he will of course be working on pandering to keep getting that information.

Not read it yet Ed001, but good god, I just hope someone or two at the club reads what is being said on the LFC pages here. Please, no more BR. As for Klopp, I wonder if he mentioned that he is taking a year out to stop the media asking to many questions! I'm sure Ed001, if the right club came calling (so hope it is LFC), he may just consider the offer and take it up. Having said that, does he want Arsenal or Barca if not LFC (I know he has said he likes or has an affinity to LFC), something like that anyway.

Ed001, it would be interesting (if you're not to busy?)on your take of the Echo's, for's and against him staying on.
For him still being manager the Echo had.
Better brand of football
Brining in the youngsters
Title challange
Flexibility.
Against him being manager they had.

Mental strenghth.
Understand if you can't Ed001, but it would make for a really interesting read in a very cold, and windy, Liverpool on the first day of Summer.

Title challenge? How many years will he be able to live off one good season?
Flexibility I really don't get. What is so flexible in a good way? He makes nonsense changes that don't work during a game but then reverts straight back to what didn't work for the start of the next game.
He has brought in no one that worked out since Coutinho and Sturridge. The rest of his signings have struggled. So that is defo a negative.
The defence is awful and getting worse each season.
Mental strength of the team is just non-existent, as is passion and desire.
The good point for me, and it really is the only one I can think of now, is that the players have improved technically under his guidance.}

To be fair, I think the youngsters part is getting misread. I think the author of the piece isn't talking about bringing players through the academy, but just generally buying younger players, as he talks about the average age of the squad compared to previous seasons. How this I a positive though, is anyone's guess.
{Ed001's Note - I would rather he bought the best players to win now, and brought youngsters through the academy. So I fail to see it as a positive.}

Thanks for the reply Ed001, didn't realise it came up as a blank page on the echo website? Strange that you were joking, over there in sunny, hot Dubai, yet the Echo did a piece on him staying on.
I agree Ed001, can't see many, if any, positives in his three year reign at our great club. Hopefully by the end of this week the Echo can do an article on why he got the sack.
