Im getting abit ticked off with seeing fans moan about signing ings and milner. A prem proven striker who possibly will be on low wages than borini/lambert who has pace and can score. Milner who gets into the city squad yes big wages but has the mental attitude and exp we lack. Yes there will be signing on bonuses ect but much better than spending money the club don't have on players who may not work.im not sure about other fans but lfc fans seem the biggest moaners in the whole world it drives me mad.

Great post Dorset both in my eyes would be great signings for the club.

Proven?
Mate Michu, Benteke scored twice as much in their 1st seasons at crap clubs. Don't mean your amazing!!
U reckon any top tier Club in CL wants Ings & Milner,, only for British/homegrown player quota mate? City came 2nd in Prem and want better to challenge next year and no qualms if Miner goes but u think he's good?

My only worry about Milner is can he play week in week out he hasen't done at city but besides that I think both would be good signings

I just don't see the point in Ings (or Milner either really) as neither solves a problem we have. They're both fine players, but Ings isn't good enough to be first choice striker on a regular basis for us I don't feel and Milner isn't really needed per se.

Again, I think both are good players, but like Lallana and Markovic before them, I just don't think either are necessary.

So why are city fans not happy about him leaving. They love him up there. Its refreshing to see a player reject more money for playing time and not play in champs league. He wants to come and so does ings.

02 Jun 2015 00:20:12
I'm sorry, but Milner walks straight into our midfield, no question for me. Experience, proven prem ability.
Ings isn't meant to be the first striker on the teamsheet (assuming there is one). He should be an improvement on what we have coming off the bench at the moment though surely? And he won't cost the earth. Assuming they happen, it will actually be nice to have players who could have gone elsewhere but chose us for a change!

^^ spot on. Ppl on here always moan about players not playing for the shirt but for the money instead. Here we have a top player in Milner choosing us over huge money offered by city. That's exactly what Liverpool need in the squad, a little passion.
And ings is free, a good back up and wants to play for us.
Most importantly both have prem experience so shouldn't need a settling in period. Unless Rodgers stays then he'll make them both look rubbish

Milner yes , ings no - he didn't have the mental strength to take a penalty to try and help his team stay up, borini scored a similar amount of goals at sunderland, so why do we need ings? if we get strikers in we need quality not 'could do okay' levels.

Try to show a hint of respect bash.

And actually several top tier clubs in the champions league want Milner and some are rumored to want Ings. Get a grip.
Arsenal is interested and city wanted him to stay. Those not top tier?

Sorry but I don't agree. Both are solid players in their own right but that is it. Ings will score the odd goal but will struggle to even break double figures. Milner will always give 100% but this past season has shown we need added quality. We got squad depth last summer so this summer should be about quality. Neither have what it takes to take us drom also rans to top 4 which is our supposed aim. Its just shows BR's small club mentality in my opinion and is just another reason why BR has to go.

Sorry Dorset Red, how often has that premiership proven thing turned out to be a big pile of horse crap, especially for us? We should be buying the highest quality players we can get, regardless of what league they play in. Or better yet, promoting from within our academy. We have many talented young players here whom Brendan simply doesn't trust to play.
