I really don't get our transfer strategy. Why are we going for kovacic? He looks very similar to Markovic and Coutinho. Just a waste of time and money plus affecting young players careers too.

Kovacic is nothing like Coutinho or Markovic. He is a cetral midfield player; you could have atleast searched to see what kind of a player he is before posting. I agree he will be a perplexing singing as we already have Henderson, Can, Lucas, Milner and Rodgers' favourite Joe Allen to play at most 3 central midfield roles.

Been posting the same thing, Higgins. People just seem to forget that we have a superb talent like Emre Can who IMO, is potentially better than Kovacic if given the right coaching due to his age BUT it seems people just want new signings and don`t seem to care about how they will impact the development of players like Can that we already have, in an area we are already loaded in.

Foreign and young? Because they're the only comparisons I can see.
I think it's about time the club replaced Alonso, and Kovacic would be a good signing in my opinion.

Can Hendo Milner and Kovacic that'd be good enough for a three man midfield. Hopefully allen is sold. But i still hope that Kovacic is brought in only if lucas is sold

From what I've seen all three (when played in their correct position) look to travel with the ball at pace from midfield and stretch the opposition off loading or taking a strike. We clearly need a DM as a priority. Kovacic is just excess and will prevent others playing. Like my manager hiring two people to do my job and not bothering to hire a cleaner!
