The rumours linking Monaco CB Aymen Abdennour, keep growing.
Is this Skrtels replacement? Is there an update on what's happening with him?
I think if he were to leave, Sakho Lovren Ilori and Toure is enough with Jones and Gomez as injury back ups and cup games.

Everyone seems so certain Skrtel is leaving. His interviews recently suggest he is staying though. He is also still getting face time in Official Club adverts. Not to mention he is one of Rodgers favourites. Then you have all the "new contract" rumours.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's time to let him go but I just don't think it's as nailed on as people are making out.

The photos of the new kit (where he is front and centre) would have been taken a while back. Same happened with that bloke that bit somebody and left.
{Ed001's Note - I remember getting abuse when Xabi was leaving as I was told I was talking crap saying he was going due to him being in all the publicity shots for the kit.}

Please let him go. doesn't Brendan realise that he's the weak link. With sakho,lovren,ilori for lcb and wisdom,toure,gomez for rcb we have enough cover.

As far as I am aware Abdennour is left footed. Would surely spell the end for Sakho/Lovren instead? Realistically don't see the need for a new cb even with Skrtles departure.

I doubt you'll get any abuse for your prediction of Skrtel leaving mate, as everyone is hoping you're right.
Gomez has cone out today and said he wants firat team foot ball as well. So perhaps Gomez, Sakho, Toure and Ilori will be our first team centre backs next year. Skrtel and Lovren are just too slow to hold a high line.

Lovren needs another season to prove himself. I still think he has it in him. I'm not sure Rodgers is the man to get it out of him

Br has no idea what he`s doing when it comes to evaluating defenders and the fact that Skrtel is in his view, our best CB is irrefutable proof of that
