Stating the obvious, if Liverpool buy Benteke they will have to change their style of play and mix it up more. As much as I love the ball being played on the deck (how football should be played in my opinion), Liverpool have been found out and need to change their style of play. We give possession away far to easily. It seems O'Driscoll will mix it up if it plays to our strengths. We have enough talent to lay it on a plate for Benteke. Still think he costs too much and is lazy. time will tell.

Maybe even a variant opf 5-2-2-1 with a back five of two fast moving wing-backs to whiop crosses in and three central defenders.

Change of formation to a more european-style 4-2-3-1. Benteke occupyimg the '1', with three runners behind him (Ibe, Firminho, Coutinho) and th3 '2' being Henderson & Milner.
Just leaves the back four to sort out.

Love this idea with Ibe and Firminho playing wide and Coutinho supporting behind Benteke. Could see Coutinho and Firminho rotaing as well. When Sturridge comes back could see them using a 4-4-2 diamond to get both Strikers involved and still have Countinho in that play making role.

Firstly sturridge if fit replacing benteke
And milner and henderson are not holding defensive midfielders. It will likely be a back 4, can in front of the back 4,and milner and henderson in front of him. Then the front 3 of firminho coutinho and sturridge spearheading

I think if LFC utilizes a 4-2-3-1 you will see Rogers rotate Strikers from game to game. Sturridge struggles to maintain his fitness anyways and a rotation may allow him to play a full season. Also imagine having quality coming off the bench in a game where we need to mix things up at halftime. The possibilities with having depth like Ings Origi and Sturridge vs Lambert,Borini, and Mario.

I'm not sure how Sturridge will play a full season bearing in mind he is already out until December :)
