And what has a back up player who just arrived done to earn the captaincy, exactly? Hendo has fought for and regained his career back from the brink in a period where BR couldn't wait to see the back of him. He was one of the reasons we almost won and to some, did not win the PL in 2014. Hendo has stepped up his level and has shown what can be achieved when you work hard and defy the odds and prove your manager wrong in wanting you gone. Whereas, Milner was a great back up player at best who is yet to prove himself at LFC. IMO, he would b third in the pecking order for captain behind Hendo and Lucas who like Hendo, has sacrificed himself and his career (despite BR's disgraceful treatment of him) so again, what has Milner done at LFC to upstage them for the captaincy?

Henderson for me, very close to the fans and vocal in the middle. If he performs poor we are in big trouble in every match.
