Hi eds is there a chance we could swoop for lewandowski, surely at only a bit more than benteke and twice the player we should go for it?

Yeah lewandowski will give up wining cups, leagues and competing in CL in one of the best teams in the world working under one of those most esteemed coaches to play in Europa cup as a wing back for Rodgers.

We don't have Champions League, nor can we pay the wages he'd want, especially after the signings we've made already. United would totally blow us out the water if it was between us and them for his signature.

We are certainly paying a hefty wage for Milner. I would have kept it myself for a star forward.

We didn't pay 35 mil for Milner which I reckon would be the bare minimum he would leave for. Not that bayern would sell or that he would be interested in giving up competing for every available club trophy on the planet ( and winning many) so he could take a wage cut struggle against stoke away.

There is no chance we could sign a player like that he is in the fantasy football realms along with reus and lacazette that have been mentioned on here. I didn't realise he wasn't first choice at bayern though I thought he played 40+ games last season and scored 24/25 goals. I'd hate to see him at unt with him and a top centre back they will be challenging for the league rather than competing for top 4

Euro, Benteke wants to come here while Lewandowski (who is much better)more than likely, doesn`t.

I don't see that United are that much more of an attractive proposition than LFC in recent times.
I know that Utd have Champs league - currently - but they are going through a period of evolution just as we are.
If Lewandowski is considering Utd, I don't think it's so far fetched that he might (MIGHT) consider LFC.
We had a saying in my sporting days "you are only as good as your next game". Looking to the coming season, which club is looking like having the momentum? I suppose the answer to that is subjective, but there is a buzz about LFC right now - that things are moving in the right direction with the back room staff & signing the likes of Firmino - & Rodgers not using the word "character" since May.
