We have addressed the striker situation? We've signed two young strikers, that have been promised first team time; and we have 3 more that are likely to be moved on, so I don't know how many more strikers we could possibly fit.

Seem like not only we miss him, we miss him to United. The way they work is 'we want this player, what's his tag price? £32? good we will pay it'. Next day he is theirs.
The way we work is 'do we want this player? not sure, maybe. maybe only if we will not find someone chepaer, let's bid on third of the asking price try to get to the end of the summer and if we will not have other options then we may raise our bid in ten precent. If it will not work we will say we never wnated him and actually We already have Origi and Inges os don't need other strikers.

I don't think Belgian international mates really work as an argument as United have Fellani and januzaj vs our Mignolet and Origi so can't see that being much sway either way to be honest

If anyone thinks , presuming we move on Balotelli, Borini & Lambert, that young kids like Origi & Ings alongside a brittle Daniel Sturridge, with Firmino, Markovic or Sinclair in emergencies, is good enough to get us in top 4 is wired to the moon.
We are crying out for an out and out proven goal scorer .

I for one would be delighted with Benteke, provided he is used in a front 2 and we don't try to change how he plays.

I'd rather we didn't sign him, we have do many attacking players, if benteke came in meant ibe or markovic getting less time then it's not worth it. We should just play a 4-2-3-1 with ings or firmino until studge is back. With couts ibe markovic lallana we should still score.
