Morning Reds and Eds

I'm just going to get straight to my point.

I totally understand when Ed002 says Liverpool have the worst fans in the world!

Why abuse Sterlings partner (who has nothing to do with football) and why be racist?!

So quick to use the N word!

So, should Sturridge, Sahko, Ibe, Toure, Wisdom, Sinclair, Ojo- just leave then? Are they going to be called n*gg**s when the going gets tough?! Are they and their families going to get abuse?!

I'm totally disgusted to be honest. It's hard enough dealing with racism on a normal basis (yes it does still exist unfortunately).

Did no one learn from the Suarez/Evra situation?!

People have asked me a few times how I can still support Liverpool after that situation and my answer is always something like- " I love my club very much" & "we are not a racist club".

To quite a few opposing fans we are starting to look like that sort of club which really pi**es me off!

Rant over

Bennett Jnr

Where the fans true Liverpool you'll never know, unfortunately this is the world we live in and people will hide behind anything to be a tit.

16 Jul 2015 10:07:46
I don't think anyone on this site are part of the problem with racism. Mindless abuse 100% but racist comments no, then again some could be and the Eds may be deleting these without posting them.

Unfortunately there will be a small minority of fans at most clubs that behave like that, but you can't tarnish the whole club / fan base with the same brush just because of a few idiots.

16 Jul 2015 10:49:28
There are idiots at every club. It's not just one certain club that has more or less than any other. You will get racist/homophobic/personal attacks on players whoever supports them. It's a joke, the annonimty of social media where "fans" can directly target people without recourse doesn't help.

16 Jul 2015 11:04:38
I wish sterling all the best but just as the Chelsea fans up in court yesterday do not define Chelsea supporters imo the ones that abused sterling's family do not define liverpool supporters. There are always idiots but hey that's life. I wish sterling all the best, players come and go all the time don't get too attached but support your club

16 Jul 2015 10:27:15
It's a few idiots, not representative at all. Don't get the abuse of Sterling, best to ignore him as we have better players and absolutely robbed Man City for a huge fee!!

16 Jul 2015 10:43:41
You get pond life in all walks of life. You can't describe a particular set of fans as any better or worse than others.
All sets of fans have their moronic element, immature, uneducated oxygen-thieves. There is no club screening process.
If you have more fans, you will have more scumbags, simple really.
The best thing to do is not to sink to their level by getting angry, just point out their stupidity and laugh at them.

16 Jul 2015 11:16:56
For me this is an idiotic post.

In almost every fan base in every sport there's a certain set of dross with an IQ of 10.

Am I going to go an say all italians are the worst fans in the world because they still do monkey chants at black players no. I am well aware it's a problem but I'm well aware only a certain handful of those people do it (I refuse to call them fans they're just bullies and hooligans)

I think we saw from the Alves banana incident that more people.
tweeted about Alves response to racism and how it needed kicking out than agreed throwing a banana was ok. Do I now think all villareal fans are the worst fans in La liga? and that evertytime Bertran Baily goes on the field it's to chrosues of racist chanting and he should leave the club. no

Why have you gone an generalised and tarnished every one at Liverpool because someone not representative of a base has lowered the tone on twitter. Cheers for painting me a racist.

16 Jul 2015 11:21:18
No place in the game for ANY racism!

16 Jul 2015 11:41:17
i agree its a minority but i'm not so sure its a small minority,on a certain sports radio programe a certain mr collymore by his own admission gets regular racist abuse from liverpool fans,as i mentioned above it is a minority but you can't ignore what has gone before and is still happening,i suspect if there where a EPL racist league lfc would defo make the top 4,

16 Jul 2015 11:43:35
I did my university dissertation on Racism in Sport (Sociology) and you would be shocked how racist the game still is when taking into the accounts of other peoples studies as well as their personal stories. The English game is perceived as better than say Spain but when you look from the top with The FA who run our game down to the fans there is still a lot of institutional racism within the different associations. Unfortunately that is the same everywhere in society still

16 Jul 2015 11:44:55
Those people are idiots and hopefully the police track them down and sort it out.

16 Jul 2015 12:37:02
Appreciate the sentiment of the post and agree with it whole heartedly, but let's be clear, racism is an societal problem not a Liverpool fc problem. No football team breeds racism - that's absurd. In society there are good people and bad, violent and non violent, racists and non racists etc.

If someone is a horrible, nasty bigot then that's what they are regardless of the football team they support, the religion they follow, or the colour of their skin.

These scumbags should not be recognised as a representation of the rest of the fan base in any way. They are nothing but nasty little sh*ts.

16 Jul 2015 13:25:36
As a man of colour, it`s better that those who used the N-word remain behind their keyboards in their mothers` basements in order to avoid the severe beating any of them would recieve if he/she even as much as attemted used that word in my presence

16 Jul 2015 13:36:43
You see this is the fundamental problem with social media. In a society that endorses free speech you are unfortunately giving the morons within society a forum to vent their sorry feelings.

16 Jul 2015 14:20:18
Biggest problem about dealing with racism is many people still deny how big the problem still is in Britain.

Most racism is not about skinheads shouting abuse or attacking people, it's the other more subtle things; not getting that jobs or promotion, your kids into the the best schools, turning up to rent a house, then finding out all of a sudden it's "gone", being harassed by the police, etc.etc.

You see it in football, the lack of people of color in Management or refereeing.

We have no hope of getting rid of the trolls if we don't deal with the institutional racism first.

16 Jul 2015 14:47:17
Let them vent Wassa. Just like the BNP if you let them try to rationalise their idiocy it highlights how stupid their ideas are.

16 Jul 2015 15:24:45
Hence in a society of free dpeech, we have the right to call out the morons as well for their dire remarks
