If West Brom get Diaby on a pay as you play deal, they have a great player. Only problem with him is injuries, but when he is fit he is one of the best players in the PL. Shame we have too many midfielders already, would have taken him in a heartbeat.

Injuries always make players better than they ever were. People make this kind of ridiculous statement it's the same for sturridge it was the same for wilshire flanno etc

It's pointless even on a pay as you play. Even if he was fit he may not be the player he was, he also takes up another place in the squad that comes at a cost to someone else. You couldn't build a team around him and would just end up using more resource trying to get him fit. He's made 32 appearances in 4 years ( including as a sub) he's never managed over 30 in a season. Every club should steer well clear.

Injuries create a fear in your mind of not repeating it again. People often become cautious and doesn't try enough.
Lucas is the biggest example.

He is decent, but nothing more. As for players trying less after injuries, EG, that is a massive generalisation and it depends entirely on the player in question.
