Ed 001 surely FSG can't allow this rot to continue. It's insane to let Rodgers continue as manager. There's no way he can change things around. It's clear as daylight that he has no idea and players are confused as to what to do. You mentioned Bradley as a replacement. Frankly situation is so desperate I'd take him. Besides Bradley however who realistically could be available and seriously considered?

{Ed001's Note - I don't expect there to be many options seriously considered sadly.}

Agree12 Disagree0

I wonder whether FSG realise now that they made a massive mistake keeping BR, and providing him with ample funds to bring in average players

13 Sep 2015 09:44:37
Ed 1 why are fsg so blind to what's going on? I know michael gordon decided somehow to keep br on but surely if eveyone else can see what's going on they can too? There might not be many managerial replacements available but surely anyone can do a better job than this idiot, he's cost the club millions we have a very good squad he just has no idea what to do.

He buys bentenke to have a big target forward yet he long balls it to him and has no forwards running in to the channels to get the ball with his knockdowns and hold ups, then blames the players for just hoofing it to him when they are doing what he says!!

We need stability as ed2 says but he has had 3 years and has rocked the boat more and more alienating players and staff how can br have so much power its unreal he get one last chance and he still blows it.

I thought fsg were supposed to be ruthless they took no time to act over roy and kenny but for some reason give rodgers every chance to succed and he blows it and thy till do nothing. Maybe they have one eye on 2017 exit but still they should be doing what's right for liverpool fc !!

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea why they are so slow to act. It makes no sense to me. Rodgers is an embarrassment that constantly has to be pulled up over things he has done wrong. It is bizarre he is still in the job.}

13 Sep 2015 10:03:45
Regardless of who's available I think he should be shown the door!! Get an interim or perhaps Kenny will hold the fort until we do find a replacement!! To keep BR just because there's nobody obvious is ludicrous!!

13 Sep 2015 10:20:42
Problem is tho, if Rodgers goes it will only be another Rodgers type that comes in.

Sadly fsg are the real problem and they clearly don't seam to fancy going after a top manager. If they know who one is?

They are advised by people as clueless as them.

I believe we have a good squad but we haven't go the players for 4-3-3

If Rodgers wanted to play 4-3-3 why didn't he buy wingers?

Having said this, even if we had 2 world class wingers we couldn't hold onto the ball long enough to pass it to them.

Again we can hate Rodgers all we like, the bloke is obviously not trying to loose, he can't help being an idiot.

FSG the guys at fault for me, yes they saved the club and are building a new stadium. So why with the personal do they fail every time. They need advise from someone who actually knows the game and act upon this advise.

13 Sep 2015 10:22:54
Totally agree ed1 he is an embarresement and totally out of his depth it doesn't matter about whos available interm wise or permanet wise just stop the rot now

13 Sep 2015 10:32:12
When fans stop going to the games is when they will start to act - unfortunately it will be too late.

{Ed002's Note - Just all stop going then - clearly the club doesn't need fans like this. God forbid the time ever comes that you don't have something to whine and bitch about. Always the same - zero support.}

13 Sep 2015 10:45:57
We need to be fans and support the club through good and bad times, all some fans do is Chuck there toys out the cot.

13 Sep 2015 11:11:55
As to why FSG don't replace BR - for me it is just very deep lack of understanding and knowledge of football. If you know nothing about the game you can look only on results and then say ok he had first season to settle down, an amazing second one and third year was poor but we still got close and also had very bad luck with Sturridge injured and we lost Suarez so overall not too bad.

When you have seen some football in your time, it is much easier to see this is not like that. That so much of the success of two seasons ago was down to Suarez, that it was still a trophyless season and that last year it is not only our results but how poorly we performed and how helpless BR was in doing anything about it and that managers are so influencial on this game and a helpless managers don't beocme Alex Ferguson just because you give them time. And if you understand a bit about football it is enough to see our first five games and that nothing has changed this season and that it is going to be another painful year and that we are as pathetic as ever and that with good refereeing we had by now 3 points from five games. But if you don't understand anything in football, you say to yourself ok, not a great start but we are still 2 points from 4th place let's wait for the summer and do another review.

And you can think that our poor signing record is down to porr procedures and has nothing to do with the manager (or if it is, setting a transfer comittee is the solution)

This is why I say, if you don;t understand football don't buy a football team.

{Ed002's Note - Palpable nonsense. You think the owners of Manchester City, Manchester United, PSG, Juventus etc. understand football any more? You seem to have little understanding of the structure of the business and the club being one part of that - and for some reason want to blame the owners. Maybe they will take the exit strategy and sell the club to some nice institutional owners from China. After all, it is what the fans want - FSG out - and certainly what the fans like you deserve.}

13 Sep 2015 11:41:53
I couldn't agree more ed2 we are turning into bad supporters, the way some fans have behaved after last night is ridiculous, we lost a game of football, move onto Thursday and hopefully a win, there is nothing we can do about yesterday and I will keep saying it a change of manager guarantees absolutely nothing.

{Ed002's Note - Exactly. I would have removed Rodgers in the summer, but the club decided not to. This over-reaction at every result is the personification of fickleness.}

13 Sep 2015 11:45:20
Yes I think the owners of City, United, Chelsea and other clubs understand football better or in any case they chose people who understand football better to run their clubs.

Tell me honestly ED002 do you think Abroamovich or the City owners or the united owners would keep BR last summer - we know very well they wouldn't. They just wouldn't accept mediocrity to go beyond one season, full stop, and rightly so given all the money they spend.

Fans want owners that act when things are consistently poor. If FSG can do something about it other than reviews great, if not, I am not threatened by them selling the club, even if it is to someone from China (what is wrong about owners from China by the way?).

And I am also a bit tired of you having a go at LFC supporters. You and edoo1 can slate BR and the team, and the performances etc but when the fans who really care about the team complaine about the unbelieveable gap between the money invested int eh team and its performance game after game year after year they are just group of whiners. But are we supposed to do, to demand BR get a contrct for another ten years to show our support of the team?

{Ed002's Note - They would take advice and make a decision - as did the person responsible to the owners at Liverpool. He was given the name of a viable option as a new manager but the club decided they did not want to make a change. Whilst many Liverpool fans are obsessed with the owners and want them out, other clubs' fans understand better the relationship between the owners and the club. It was not the owners at Manchester United that took the decision over Moyes, it was the Board of the club - you simply should not bother posting anything about the running of the club as it is obvious you don't seem to understand the structure of the business at all.

If you are tired of me slating Liverpool supporters - the solution is the club needs better supporters, at least better informed supporters. Fickle to the extreme - idiots like you spewing hate of the owners, the management and the players. You are an embarrassment to the club and the decent supporters the club has.

Don't post any more of your ill informed nonsense today. And don't post anything in the future about how the club is run.}

13 Sep 2015 12:03:55
ed002 - You're not a liverpool fan, so you're probably loving the state of our club right now. I couldn't care less if that's how you feel!

{Ed002's Note - Why should I care that Liverpool lost away at Manchester United yesterday - it is simply a game, no more. Then we get the idiot fans like you start suggesting that people should stop going to games. It is simply embarrassing reading that nonsense.}

13 Sep 2015 12:24:10
IMO Liverpool supporters are no better or worse than supporters of other clubs like United, Chelsea and Arsenal.

{Ed002's Note - Read the posts on the "Other" page after every game.}

13 Sep 2015 12:37:30
Call my words nonsense all you want - don't change the fact that this is what will need to happen to bring the change us real liverpool fans want!

{Ed002's Note - And why would anyone give a toss about idiots like you not showing up to a game? Perhaps setting a fire at the stadium would help get the attention of the owners?

This stuff is so embarrassing?}

13 Sep 2015 13:19:32
Ed02, so what do you suggest fans do, then? Just sit around and support bad decisions by the owners and manager? You yourself have said that he should have been gone in the summer and I agree but sadly, he was maintained. The blame for that is laid squarely at theirs, the board's and the consultants' desk. No more, no less. I agree the over reactive posts are unacceptable and fans not going to games is extreme. But what we should not accept is this idea of just supporting the manager when he has done nothing earn that, is just senseless. As a former competitive athlete, I despise losing especially when me or the team I support don't put up a fight and leave all on the field. That is acceptance of failure as the new normal and that my friend, I will NEVER accept and if that makes me a terrible fan then, sign me up.

{Ed002's Note - You don't seem to entirely grasp how the business and club is run. This seems to be a common issue this morning.}

13 Sep 2015 17:59:52
Ed, I never claimed in my post that I knew how the business side is run. I am only posting something from a fan's point of view and reiterating what you have posted as in, he should have been sacked and how this will end in tears if BR did not shape up, all the things that are happening now so again, what do you expect a fan like me to think with the shambles we are seeing?

{Ed002's Note - You should not be surprised that all of your posts are being deleted. They say the same thing over and over. It is tedious. You can either stop it or take a short-break from the site. Your call.}

If you say so, Ed
