Agreed scandalous tackle IMO - shouldn't have been sent off, should have been sentenced.

You don't wish that type of injury on anyone no matter how much you loath the club he plays for

{Ed001's Note - do you think so? I thought it was just bad luck he got injured, which is why none of the players reacted. Shame for the lad, he was really starting to grow as a player, but hopefully he will recover well and come back stronger.}

Yes it was nasty, seems a multiple fracture. The lad was crying on the pitch. Wish him a speedy recovery.

Ed, the height he went through him he made sure he was taking it all out. At OT or Anfield (if we were in it) that would have been a straight red.

But then only my opinion.

{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't argue either way, but it was clear no one there thought there was any intent, as the players made no reaction. So for me it was given as a foul, I wouldn't argue, but I wouldn't say it was nasty with any bad intent.}

It was certainly a robust challenge and i guess excessive force is now a red card offence but i would have to agree it was just misfortune. A double leg break, tib and fib will be hard to come back from but he is a young man and at a top club. I wish him a speedy recovery also.

Irish don't you mean he plays for the European minnows?

16 Sep 2015 10:07:43
I agree with ed001, there is no way if he hadn't broken his leg, there is no way they would look back at that after the game as a red card and a poor refereeing decision, I believe it was just a very strong tackle but injury aside a good one. All the best shaw, for yourself and England

Praying for the lad.

hope he recovers well

16 Sep 2015 16:25:28
would everyone be so obliging if it had happened to Rooney?

16 Sep 2015 19:09:50
No the best tackle really, just my opinion - but seen worse and debatable if he got a red for it.

All the same, it's horrible to see when he has been playing so well and really progressing and is a shame so early in his season.

Wish him all the best for a speedy recovery and hope to see him playing again as soon as possible.

Would still pray for Rooney. He`s a fellow human being in the end

16 Sep 2015 19:13:21
not mighty by the looks of it, he can't seem to figure out when or when not to put his foot near his mouth.

Maybe he is brenda lol

Decent tackle I thought christ players will be wearing slippers soon kistening to half you lot.

16 Sep 2015 22:12:15
I'm Rooneys biggest critic and I can't stand him on or off the field but I wouldn't wish that on him or anyone else
Hope the lad recovers well
