I don't see an answer to this so I'll just throw it out there. what happens to all the "promises" made to players like Milner? Shoved back out wide ? Or to the bench? I don't see the new manager playing him in the middle and could see Milner being unhappy. Especially if there is a change in the captaincy/vice captaincy positions as I think could also be quite possible

IMO Milner is terrible anyway ! He can't pass. For the first time in ages were on the brink of a top top class manager, we need to buy whoever he wants and make us a force again. And if Milner isn't good enough then he'll be replaced. promises or not, Liverpool comes first

if its not a contractual obligation then those promises are what they are, promises by BR.

if the changes made by the next manager results in us winning, i would not worry about milner being happy or unhappy.

He's a bright bloke, he would of known, A) Brendan won't be around for ever and B) he's not good enough for cm :)

Nobody at this club owes Milner anything he may be our player and I will support him but he hasn't been good enough. He walks into the club on the highest wages, gets handed vice captaincy after being a bit part winger for Manchester City, must have pissed off one or two within the club surely.

He is far from good enough to tie some others bootlace not to mention even getting a sniff of a start on the field. should never have been brought in 1st place in my opinion. bit harsh I know but let's be realistic

LFC over played the hands to get him in. I think Klopp would like his energy, but I can't see him being given a central role under Klopp. Perhaps he will be shifted to the right.

Love some of these posts proves Ed02 correct on his opinion of some of us as fans. He's not a bad player, not a great player but to say he is not fit to tie shoe laces or simply not good enough when playing in a side managed and set up by BR is hardly fair or becoming of what I perceive to be a real fan.

Just for completeness I amnt a nig Milner fan thought he was a good signing but fail to see what he brings now really. his passing has been quite poor. But I was just wondering what people thought in general and to take it farther does anyone think an unhappy Milner would effect the dressing room? Seems a good pro to me but you never know. anyone have any others that could be brendand by klopp? Ha

He is a klopp type player in one respect, he will run all day but klopp typically plays a narrow formation to leave space for fullbacks to attack with technical players in the middle hunting the ball.

With lallana sturridge firmino couts ings and benteke etc fighting for the top 4 positions in his 4231 formation that means milner will fight with hendo lucas allen texiera rossiter etc for the two central births. He likes a dm so lucas should be a shoe in so that leaves hendo as the other natural person in that position who is more technical than milner and has just as big an engine.

So it looks tough for him if klopp runs the club on a meritocracy. But i would imagine all will get chances as we have a lot of comps to play in and the physical exertion of klopps style will mean players will need to be rested.

Higgins,
There are better players than him in the squad no matter what position you would like to see him. that's not me being fickle it's the truth he was a needless piece of business in my opinion and as for saying people's negative opinions on him proves ED001 right well mate that's complete rubbish.

time to put out your scented candle with bredna Rodgers in a tight leotard away and see what real potential this squad really has and I'm 100% after Xmas you will see very very little of him on the playing field and there's very good reason for that he is just not good enough

savvyxone,
I referred to Ed002 not Ed001. I also referred to it not being fair judging players performances under the tactical guidance of BR so not sure why you believe I would think highly of BR? Quite the opposite towards the end of his tenure.

Let us judge all our players under a manager who hopefully knows what he is doing. Who ever makes the first team is immaterial as long as we get the results and good feeling back at the end of the day.
I apologise as I am trolling a little here I just wish we could be fairer and more supportive as fans.
