Why are fans so obsessed with massive transfers all of a sudden. If your wanting bags and bags of household names I think your going to be a bit upset. If you look at klopp's transfer record with Dortmund. You won't find many big household names. Most were relative unknowns and were turned into household names. Slow, steady and considered transfers is what you'll find I think.

Agree22 Disagree0

totally agree but Dortmund didn't have 300 mil available to squander like BR did.

Agree. perhaps we can afford to sell one or two higher profile names to strengthen one or two key positions to get into top 4 on a more regular basis, however in the long term if we have patience and focus on bringing through Ibe, Markovic, Rossiter, Teixera, Illori, Gomez, Canos, Chirivella, Ojo we will have an outstanding crop of youngsters coming through to support the likes of Coutinho, Hendo, Coutinho, Sturridge, Benteke, Ings, Firmino, Sakho, Llalana, Moreno, Clyne who will be even more experienced in 2-3 years.

I'll be happy if we just try to focus on getting regular top 4 in the next year to two, and then hopefully we're challenging for the PL in 3 when we have a tight knit squad that has developed together and we can see the best out of the youngsters coming through.

We are going to get linked with every Dortmund player, Germany player and ex-Klopp player and perhaps even couple of Mainz players over the coming months. This is how the media works and they will feed on the us fans' propensity to these sort of stories regarding transfers.

Already one idiotic reporter claims that Klopp believes we can buy Lewandowski, this from an interview where Klopp talked about bringing through young players and cited Lewandowski as an example. Laughable. Some fans have asked about Muller yesterday. Klopp hasn't had a chance to see all of the players train yet, let alone play a game of football, and already assumptions are made by the media that he wants this player and that player. And this will continue throughout the year I and it is upto us to see them for what it is - NONSENSE.

Klopp himself has said that the focus has to be on the players we have now, that he doesn't want to bring players using money the club doesn't have, and that the talk of transfers needs not be a focus and that he rather we talk about football.

that is why our fisrt signing in next summer should be carlos vela at an astute 12 million pounds

Carlos Vela?

Sorry, I don't see that at all. We have a huge excess of attacking players. Our problems do not stem from a lack of attacking players.
First priority : New keeper
Second priority: Sell a load of fringe players who are restricting the path of our young players.
Third Priority : A defensive midfielder.

Lewandowski, Vela, Reus etc etc are a complete waste of money for where we are right now.

Klopp isn`t signing a soul unless he feels he needs a certain type of player to improve us.
