Just wondering if any of you guys are following Turkish football as I'd like to know how Lazar Markovich is getting on.
Hope he has a great loan spell and gets to a chance to break into the squad for us when he comes back.

Agree2 Disagree0

He started off well, in fact very well. Had a goal and couple of assists. His pace has surprised a lot over there.
Currently out injured.

He hasn't surprised anybody harry, he was injured for 3 weeks, played 2 games where he was subbed both games and got injuured again and now is out for at least a month. He certainlly has gained nothing from this loan so far! stop making stuff up to suit your arguments please.

I have been doing the loan updates so I have been following the player although not seen much of the football.

He is currently out injured which looks like it will keep him out until after the international break.

He is a regular starter for Fenerbache, playing often on the left of a front 3. Fenerbache are currently 3rd so the whole team and himself have to be playing well.

He has a couple goals and a few assists so he has settled into life nicely over there. Like Harry said his pace is a real asset as Fenerbache like to set up for the counter.

carra bro, are you sure about that? have you watched any of the games? because what i have seen is absolutley nothing special and he has played very few games, its not been a good loan so far imo. Mainly due to bad luck with injuries, but to say he is a real asset to Fenerbache as they like to set on the counter is not true at all, they don't play on the counter first of all but play a controling game, and they have been winning most games with or without him. Fernerbache is without doubt the biggest strongest team in turkey and Markovic won't make that big of a difference to them if his start continues, getting injured each time after making 3-4 apperances.

Hi Sabona,

like I said I haven't see much, just one game in europe and the game with galotasaray I think it was? it appeared they were playing counter that day but maybe that was just due to the strength of the opposition?

From doing the weekly loan updates I can confirm he has started quite a few games, I can dig out the exact figures if you want? so I used that as my basis for him playing well as I imagine you have to be playing decent to get in any team that is competing for the title.

However you sound like you have seen a lot more then me so I will take your word for it. It's a shame to hear as from following line ups, results etc it appeared he was doing quite well.

I have 3 maniac fenerbache fans as neighbours man! They really don't think Marko is all that, he has played less than half their games and has been on the bench for Serbia almost every single time he has been called up to the National team latley, before his move here he was a regular in the serbian national team. No need to pull the stats on how much he has played because i could do that in no time, i just thought i would take the word of Fenerbache fans over the word of Harry.

04 Nov 2015 10:48:52
he has only played 7 games with 1 assist and no goals. 400 minutes in total, don't see where or how he has impressed or become an asset! As a matter of fact he is their 17th best player according to who scored. He has not scored for Fenerbahce, he scored a goal for Serbia in a friendly, that's maybe the stat you saw?

04 Nov 2015 10:52:52
and just another thing carra mate, all his games for fernerbahce so far has been on the RW. Not one on the LW where Nani is the LW.

04 Nov 2015 10:55:17
Ah ok that's fair enough, manic fans know best.

Where abouts do you live over in Turkey?

04 Nov 2015 11:06:32
I don't live in Turkey mate, my neighbours are a Turkish family from Istanbul, The dad and 2 brothers love Fenerbahce while the mom and the other son love Besiktas. Anyways your updates are really good so keep them coming :)

04 Nov 2015 11:41:09
Cheers, seems I need to brush up on my knowledge of some of the loanees though! I really thought his stats were better then that?! I was just answering off memory though and following up to close of 20 players it all becomes a bit of a blur lol. It probaly was the Serbia goal I was thinking off.

My honest opinion of Markovic is I don't think he will make it with us, Ok player yes, but pace is his only real asset which can only get you so far in the game. But with all players I hope I am proved wrong.

04 Nov 2015 12:15:28
Hey Carra,

if the eds will let me mention it a really good resource for player stats is Transfermarkt. They have pretty good detail for pretty much every player.

04 Nov 2015 12:20:25
^^^Harry went quiet here.

04 Nov 2015 12:53:57
Bob

I don't wanna add up anything further. I really like that player. Watched him during the days at Benfica. He was in the EL team of the year. He has all the attributes to succeed. He did show his glimpse earlier at Fenerbache.
Sabona is a new guy here and I could udnerstand all the excitement.
:) Chill.

Cheers Muscatred,

I plan to write a more detailed loan update of the season so far when I get a chance. I will use that site for some more in depth info.

{Ed001's Note - wycout, scout7 and instatfootball might be more use. They are resources used by the professional scouting community mate.}

04 Nov 2015 14:02:06
yeah sure am the new guy here Harry, i have followed the site since the days of Woy and remember your posts inside out, how Mascherano has not been replaced and is world class, how alonso is the best player ever, how konoplyanka would be our savior, how kovacic is the new alonso because he plays for a Benitez team (Rafa plays with Casimero instead, weird that) how you Markovic is a winger, then not a winger, and how you always fail to understand what Lucas brings to the table, etc etc. Ed you ment wyscout right? wyscout 4 is pretty good!

{Ed001's Note - shoot, yes sorry, I missed out a letter. I should have checked back as wycout is probably a completely different site! In this day and age of the govt checking up on everything we do online, I hope I haven't sent people to some kind of dodgy site.}

Good, You kept tabs on all the proceedings here Sabona. Do well. On a very humble note, Alonso is the best player in his position and I have seen all three Lampard, Gerrard and Scholes play over the years.
I have watched Inter Milan over the years for mailny three players, Gurian, Icardi and Kovacic.
Kovacic is one gifted wonderful player, A true holding midfielder. I have given my views on Markovic time and time again. People doesn't get it. ( Robben has played behind the striker for Netherlands and on the flanks for clubs )
Konoplayanka is pretty much out and out direct winger. A free signing could have made a good impact at the club.

You could add couple more on my post.

1. I never jumped off my seat when Milner was signed.

2. Never slated BR for not playing the Diamond.

3. Not a big fan of Lucas, And I truly beliieve there are world beaters outside. ( One such player soon to grab the attention is Krychowiak at Sevilla )

4. Ibe will replace Sterling and is 10 times better than Sterling lols.

Good luck mate.

04 Nov 2015 15:47:58
Did you say that about Ibe or that was being said here by many Harry?
