We should all be premier league managers!?
Well not quite, but it does seem that a few rather obvious things that needed to happen with the club which were called out by folk on here are now happening, despite not being spotted by previous management.
The whole players being sent on loan correctly, playing in their natural position, using youngsters etc. Basics but it seems to make a positive difference so far.
What else could we add to the list?
Long may it continue. Let's hope there are things less obvious happening to improve the team as a result of Klopps appointment too!

We need to off-load players and replace from within. We have far far too many that do the same thing at the moment and far too many in general. It's ridiculous.

we did need to start giving the younger lads and chance and JK is doing so. We also have a few player who could be better offloaded tham kept imo.
That said i think possible areas once players have been sold would benefit from a signing or two, such as next summer depending on migs performance a Keeper or if flanno takes another knock we need a LB or RB really i think. Stuff like that! Not many signings i like our squad but a few players of top quality and promoting a few of the youngsters paired with offloading the bad performers we will be doing well!

We only need 2-3 top players for the first eleven. The academy can do the rest and the passengers need to get gone, Klopp is about to revamp our loan system and academy, something BR couldn't be arsed about.

Strikers? - I'm happy
Attacking mids? - I'm happy
Wingers? - think we're a bit light but give Ibe and Markovic a go, plus Milner/Firmino can cover and Ojo coming through
Midfield? - We're fine with Milner, Hendo, Lucas, Coutinho, Llalana, Can and Rossiter
DM? - We look exposed if Lucas is injured IMO. I'd personally like to see a top CDM come in to strengthen the team right now
FB? - We lack true first team quality backup if Clyne or Moreno injured but we have deputies in Randall, Smith and Flanno when fit with Wisdom to return. I'd be OK if we brought in a good FB, but not critical
CB - We are woefully exposed if/when Skrtel or Sakho injured, we really need a top CB right away IMO
Keeper - as likeable as he is, Migs is not a top 4 keeper IMO, would love us to bring in Patricio
In short. we really have to add much IMO. I'd move for a keeper, a CB and then see how things develop from there. Sell Allen, Migs and Lovren to bring in Subotic and Patricio and I think we'll be much stronger already.
If We don't see a CDM solution by next year (Rossiter/Chirivella still not strong enough to step up to regular 1st team) then perhaps we sell someone else to strengthen there next.

What I meant is we're a bit light on proven PL wingers (like a Willian, Sanchez etc. ) I'd classify Llalana, Firmino, Couts as natural no.10s.
Having said that I agree we have enough there cover right now, and plenty of talent coming through, so we can afford to be patient.
Also just to amend my last comment I meant we DON'T have much to add IMO. we should be adding 2-3 tops in next 12 months (GK, CB, CDM), and funding anything we do through sales.

Rossiter won't be ready to play until we play him. There are enough people like Can and Milner who can fill in if he's completely overwhelmed and help him, so trust Rossiter to be the number 2 there. I'd also be tempted to give Ward a run in goal if his early season form has continued (Carragher23, any views on that? )

I am not sure how could you bare fine with the Midfield, Zimbo? Some of the names you mentioned are not playmakers / typical CM.
Except Lucas, I am yet to see someone making a decent pass. We need a class CM to dictate the game and its tempo from the midfield.
Agreed on the DM position, We lack big time.
Regarding wingers, Liverpool don't play with, out and out genuine wingers. You might be referring to Left sided attacker in the mould of Grizemann.

I think our midfield is solid enough because you can play Lucas/Hendo/Coutinho as a midfield 3, all good enough for top 4 IMO and that covers the DM, box to box and creator roles for a good balance.
Backup for each of these would be Rossiter, Milner/Can and Llalana/Teixera respectively and the only obvious youth/inexperience is Rossiter but I have very high hopes for the lad.
In a 4-2-3-1 I'd play Lucas/Hendo at the base with Rossiter, Milner, Can as their backups (and then Couts etc. in attacking mids)
That's solid enough to not need to splash out, we have more urgent needs in defence.

I really appreciate the way you reply. Respect, but i think you are overlooking Henderson's ability to dictate a Game. I would play him as the advanced midfielder.
Both Henderson and Can are two sides of the same coin, where Can in all probability would only become another Henderson.
What we lack and desperately want is an Alonso type player. A fine passer of the ball (something Allen can't do and received enormous stick because of passing sideways).
Last Summer, i think an Ed expressed their desire to bring in a CM to replace Allen, but not with Henderson or Can.

I think Ward should be given a chance, at least for the cups next season. They love him at Aberdeen, and some of the saves he's made have been top draw! The echo linked recently the 5 saves he made in one match and If those saves had been made by a more established keeper then people would of been calling him a worldie!
Aberdeens form has slumped but from what I understand it is nothing to do with wards performance.

Henderson has 25 assists in the league the last 2 seasons. Lucas has good passing sure but he rarely hits a brilliant assist like Henderson or Coutinho. Henderson must be one of the most underrated players ever.

I actually see where you're from and really wanted Alonso when he went to Bayern instead, and gutted we didn't go for Schneiderlin or Kongdogbia when they were available, but since we missed that boat (and also given Klopp is playing Lucas properly vs BR who didn't rate him), I'd rather now we had patience with Rossiter and Chirivella given how close they are to stepping up.
It's not that I can see how things can be improved by another top DM/midfield general, just that I'd rather we invested in a top CB and keeper instead.
