Reading some of the posts below I was happy to see that I am not the only one who think Ming and Skertl are not a majour problem for us even if they are not world class. Saying this and without taking anything from our great performance going forward we did live dangerously in the back. Way too many back passes or not releasing the ball quick enough. Some of our players will try to overcome pressure from three opposition players by trying to keep the ball at any cost insteaf of sending it forward. Some work is required there.

The problem is both Mignolet and Skrtel play in positions where small mistakes will lead to goals, and both have made plenty of mistakes in the PAST, and probably has a mistake a game on them. Both have IMPROVED well under Klopp but long term, we need to look at better players IMO, but Klopp will almost certainly wait until the summer to see how they (and everybody else) gets on before taking a decision on them.

Didn't Man City goal come directly from Skrtel and Mignolet fluffing their lines.

No. Skrtel gave away the ball, but Mignole passed to Clyne, which Clyne then passed to Skrtel, who then gave away the ball.

I'm sorry but Mignolet played an accurate pass on the wing to Clyne who had time and space to control the ball. Hardly a mistake, Clyne passed the ball back to Skrtel who played it 1st time. It was a good headed interception which broke up the move. Why the constant need for blame. It was 1 of the only times they did to us what we did to them all game.
Did we really think that City at the Etihad would not create chances.

I think we over sell that goal as a mistake. 95 times out of a hundred there was no danger. Unfortunately it was Aguero who received the ball and he punished with a stunning strike.

Skrtel had a strong game. Migs had a strong game. Just relax and enjoy it without the constant need for seeking out negatives.

I'm sure the fans that look for the bad points and the same fans than grunt and moan when we lose the ball or make a mistake at Anfield. This is part of the reason the players are so tense there and why it isn't the fortress it once was.

Obviously the majority of reds are with me, enjoyed the game and we're happy to see a great team performance capped by a sweet goal by Skrtel.

Not too fussed with the goal. That was a messing about that is bound to happen on the road vs a title fav. Klopp already addressed it post game as a situation where our guys needed to show for the ball and didn't. Nothing to see here, IMO.

How mindless are some people. I usually don't get frustrated this easy, but it is a FACT: Mignolet passed to Clyne, Clyne passed to Skrtel, who gave away the ball. Disagree all you want in the shadow of anonymity, but it won't change the facts.

I felt Mignolet took a touch too many and Skrtel gave the ball away. Hardly controversial, but each to their own. Happy with the result and their performance overall.
