Henderson fully fit, does he come in for can or Milner? He's always been athletic so could do well there, can cross the ball well too. If he goes in the middle, could mean drolling firmino to cam, lallana to the right and bringing in benteke or Sturridge, we will need an out and out striker in games where the opposition sit back and don't get countered as easily as Saturday.

Agree0 Disagree2

He is coming after a long-ish injury lay-off and I think we need to ease him back into action. Once fit, he probably will take Emre Can's place in the squad.

Sorry I should have said when Henderson is fully fit.

Henderson for Can and let him challenge for a starting spot. He's played really well the last few games but Hendo has a better passing range, creates more assists, has greater mobility in defence and doesn't give the ball away as often.

I don't see why we'd need Hendo in the attacking mids with Coutinho, Firmino, Llalana, Milner and Ibe available there.

The natural answer is Can, but on current form it's Milner.

Can is a very good player and gives our midfield a lot of power something we have lacked in the past, more than deserves a place in the team. He is growing all the time into a position he is learning again, he was excellent against City.

Milner for me. He was average vs City along with Clyne.

23 Nov 2015 18:01:58
Milner was very good against City probably his best game in a red shirt, obviously keeping Henderson out of the side when fit is a different matter but we don't need to rush players back and risk them as we have a fairly decent size squad, it will be great to see Rossitier back this week as well.

If we take off Milner, where would you fit in Henderson? Milner plays right midfield and I don't want Henderson being there. Klopp likes the 4-2-3-1 system and only changes it depending on how we are doing later in the game.

Obviously just a guess but I think Klopp will rotate Henderson, Can and Milner for the two midfield spots either side of Lucas. At the moment Allen is the backup for Lucas but Klopp doesn't appear to be convinced by his ability. I suspect that's one of the positions he is looking to bring in a player.

We shall soon see as I think Lucas is now suspended isn't he?

23 Nov 2015 21:01:28
For Swansea he is.

Milner was probably our weakest MF against City.

I'd say he comes out for Hendo.

Can has to work on consistency, but his link up play with Firmino/Coutinho was great-- far better than anything we've seen from Milner.

I also think Hendo will link up great with Firmino/Coutino.

PS I should also say, Milner may have may the most perfectly timed through ball in the entire game against City, though Aguero couldn't pull the trigger on Milner's beautiful lay in for him.

Mighty Red - shouldn't the fact that even in a game where you consider Milner as having been 'very good' he still managed to slip in that pass? What good did he actually do to justify ignoring a slip like that?

24 Nov 2015 23:42:37
Milner was poor and I was not the only one to see it. His dumb back pass almost cost us a goal. I would understand if a rookie did it. However, many of his apologists hail his experience, professionalism and work ethic, should be shocked by his blatant tactical and schoolboy error.

I wasn't. He can't pass, can't tackle and too slow. To crown it all, makes double than several players in the squad who are better than him. Go figure.
