The Referees a wan*er chant summed it up for me last night. i'm still undecided if the migonlet incident should of happened, will he do that again most probably. Benteke was good last night and should of had two goals for me as the second one wasn't a foul at all.

Allen had a decent game, and i didn't see the need for Can to come on as he needed a rest.

What is going on with Sturridge people! so frustrating for us but it must be even more for him. Do we look at another striker in Jan in the possibility of shipping DS out in the summer or do we take the risk of trying to kepp benteke fit and hope that origi will improve. Thoughts on the sturridge comment is welcome! YNWA.

Can't see what the ref did wrong really.
Migs was completely at fault for that goal, first of all for holding into the ball for so long and secondly for his positioning for the resulting free kick.

I don't recall there being any such chants directed at the ref when he awarded that extremely soft penalty in our favour.

like i said migonlet was at fault and shouldn't of kept the ball for 20 seconds but at the time i was like what is going on! the ref blew the whistle two times in that decision one given it to them and then changed his mind and gave it to us then gave it back to them! The referee was poor, Allen made two great challenges and the ref blew when the ball was clearly won. regarding the chant this was made half way through the second half as the decisions was completely going Bordeaux way and for nothing. The penalty was a penalty you don't put your arms around a playes head and throat when you know it can cause a penalty, so that comment was pointless irishkopite.

First half apart from the penalty which from my angle in the Anfield Road looked like a slip/incidental contact you see all the time (Ref seemed to look at the touchline official for clarification) I thought the officiating was rather good. I've been complaining about keepers holding the ball too long and often count them, for example vs Palace there was an incident of 23 seconds which wasnt punished. Mignolet in the second half held the ball over 6 seconds again by my reckoning. The ref also punished a foul throw which is something that we see week in week out in the Prem and its atrocious. He did however miss a couple other poor throws but then the game would have been stopped even more.

Benteke scored and played well for the other 'goals' but faded and should have been taken off. As for Joe Allen you need to see him off the ball, he nearly gifted them early on with a pass when he wasnt looking. I like Joe but he's just not suited to this new system he requires too much time on the ball and is often out of position, which is the worry for the weekend.

The chanting was just about the only thing the rest of the ground did last night apart from a strong YNWA at the end. The Kop tried to get the atmosphere going but far too many people at the game who don't sing or even know the words and again even winning there was the standard exodus from the ground before the final whistle. Klopp mentioned it in his manager notes that it is for the players to make us stay but what does it show him when we leave when we are winning.

I agree the decisions seemed to be all in their favour in the second half but I saw a lot of silly fouls due to fatigue from out team, no doubt one of the reasons Can came on. Still a win is a win.

I have to agree with JK67.

You cannot sell a player who has been injured for more than an year. The club will give him time to ease back into the team. We made a mistake in buying Origi, as we should have bought one experienced back up.

EG we brought in Ings this year and purchased Lambert as experience as well as the myth 2 summers ago.

JK57 is on the money. Ally, the rule is the rule and because it is not always enforced doesn`t mean it is no longer a rule. Holding the ball for 21 seconds is literally making a fool of the refree and Mingo got what he deserved and trust me, Klopp is taking notes of all his blunders especially the two he made in the same play. First, he stupidly gives away the free kick. Then, he stupidly stands behind the wall on the free kick instead of stand on the other side of the wall where the player placed the ball and scored. If I can figure that out, you better believe that Klopp saw these howlers as well.

I did not mean any player over 32 as experienced players mate. Someone who has been playing around for a while. Else it should have been either Ings or Origi.
Lets assume everyone is fit at some point in the future. The club would still be unbalanced with 4 strikers excluding Firmino.

red ohio, just for the recor,d watch cech in the champions league, I've literally watched him hold the ball for 40+ seconds, that's not an exaggeration that's a fact. Yes migs could have released it, but at the same time, the inconsistency is appalling.

Cech is just as wrong as Mingo and the rule is still the rule so not too bothered if one ref enforced it and the other did not.
