I actually can't believe this page. Our game plan worked perfectly other than for an offside goal that 19x out of 20 is disallowed. We controlled the game from start to finish we got through the mourinho way (the way everyone says Rodgers should've played at the end of the finish 2nd season) Stoke are now a good side and they're a counter attacking team. We let them have the ball infront of us and controlled the space we were time wasting in the first half! We're going to Wembley and that's all the matters at the end of the season when the trophy is engraved will it say in brackets "lost the semi final at home to stoke 0-1 due to an offside goal" or will it say "Liverpool"? Watch the game again turn off the nonsense sprouted by "experts" and see what actually happened.

just no.

Controlled the game? Seriously?

I can't believe what I've just read! Yes we won the game and are in a final - great, everyone enjoys a final. But to say we controlled it is just wrong, all kinds of wrong.

Indecision, lack of composure, lack of accurate passing, no fluency were just some of the things I saw last night.

Sometimes I wonder.

were you there Sam? I was and we didn't control the game. For the most part we were awful. I have read peoples comments today with interest. Some seem to think its okay to perform badly and scrape through. I think perform well and scrape through may be more acceptable but perform well and smash the other side is where it needs to end up. We are a million miles from that.

{Ed001's Note - I really think anyone who expects Klopp to do that within a couple of months of taking over is a moron. Pointless discussing it. Just be happy we made progress and judge the performances next season when there has been some time to work on it in the pre-season. The man is a manager not a miracle worker. The team was in complete disarray, now it is all pulling together, that is all we can ask of this season. They have barely even had a proper training session under Klopp yet due to all the games we are playing. All this knee jerk reaction crap is embarrassing.}

Sam, your post has so many holes in it, it`s that dreadful. we were gasping for air the whole game. IN no dept, did we play well enuff to win. Stoke didn`t play that well either but were the better team which shows how epoorly we played. I have seen Stoke play much better than that. I`m happy we made it to Wembley and that will do wonders for the team and the manager, confidence-wise but to say we controlled the game is just disingenuos and untruthful.

I heard Brendan Rodgers on the radio earlier talking about Liverpool, once again. His friend Neil Warnock was saying that Klopp hasn't done any better than Rodgers. I think the point Warnock is missing is that Klopp has had to inherit a poor team, due to Rodgers.

Give him a couple of years and I have no doubts we will be much more organised, successful and respectable again.

Ed001, whilst I agree with your comments, what relevance is there to this thread mate? The comment was made by Sam that we controlled the game, we didn't. Klopps time with us is nearly 4 months not a couple and in that time we have trashed city and lost badly to west ham. Yes that's ups and downs and the "knee jerk" reaction usually comes after any game good or bad it would be no reaction at all if it was 2 weeks after the fact.

My concern for klopp isn't is he good enough. Its how different EPL is to BL. So many games, injuries, lack of funding, stevie c. why?, and squad players that are simply not good enough and so on.

I have made a living out of understanding body language and JKs at the moment is at best defensive. I think JK is the best thing to have happened to LFC for years, I hope the club back him with everything they can and yes, next season will be a much better bench mark.

{Ed001's Note - what the hell is this gibberish? You don't even understand the meaning of the knee jerk reaction saying and you are trying to claim you have insight into his body language from what he does on the sidelines during a match? Utter and complete nonsense, if you are making your living like that then it is robbing one. You might want to take some time and actually know your subject, because what you are pontificating about Klopp shows you have no idea about the man.}

Well said Ed.

27 Jan 2016 14:20:49
The thing is Ed1, you did think he was a miracle worker, when asked what your expectations for this season were when he came in you didn't say he needs a pre-season and that we should wait till next year. You said top 4. We don't have unrealistic expectations, we have your expectations. We just haven't abandoned them because things haven't turned out like expected.

{Ed001's Note - you liar. I said top 6. Do not make up lies about me to make your bull seem less imbecilic.}

Ed001, what are your realistic ambitions for this season and the future? Prior to Klopp's appointment you said that you don't think we'll win the league for a long time. Has this changed?

{Ed001's Note - top 4 this season, challenge for the league after that. I think Klopp is the best hope we will ever have for a league title. }

Glass houses Ed.

{Ed001's Note - ambitions, not what I expected. Every time I was asked what I EXPECTED I said top 6. So don't try and be a smart arse, you only manage the second part when you do try.}

27 Jan 2016 15:25:28
no matter what training they get ed, that starting lineups performaance will hardly change. we are setting are selves up for a defeat everytime. I know players are injured but klopp needs to try something different, because without continho and sturridge etc, top 4 is hopeless, the players klopp is counting on is just not working. Its just a really bad balance, with firmino being our only decent attacking threat. I feel bad for players like milner and lallana but they are holding us back and I hope klopp is ruthless in the summer. the attacking threat from hendo, lucas, can is minumum at best. you look at any other top teams midfeild and our's just looks pathetic. If we weren't so bloated even after injuries, better quality players who we have would be forced to play, but gone are those day's. instead now we got to find out if our highest paid earners are good enough.

I know he's probably giving players a chance to prove themselves while players like ibe will be here for the long haul so its ok to not see them on a regular basis, but who knows what goes on in klopp's mind. I just want to see some positive changes. I guess i'm just impatient. I will wait and see how we are playing in next season before any final judgement.

{Ed001's Note - I really don't see that there are a lot of choices available to Klopp to use instead of them, I want to see Teixeira play but I can understand why he isn't. We have an unbalanced squad, partially due to injury and partially due to bad transfer business, there is not a lot he can do.}

Ed001, for your information, I work indirectly for the police and other agencies in something known as witness assessment. I don't believe anything is dishonest about that nor that you have the right to judge. And gibberish it may be but the only gibbering I saw was your reply to the initial post, without relevance to what Sam had said or indeed other answers. As far as I was aware knee jerking is a reaction without thought to some occurrence to which the knee jerker has some "emotional" attachment to.

Why make it personal?

{Ed001's Note - I don't care what you do, and the knee jerk reaction has clearly gone over your head. Now my little precious, you were getting all personal about Klopp but now you are all narky about it being personal, what is wrong with you? Try winding your neck in a bit and you won't get sniped at. You want to carry on with this belief that you can judge how Klopp is feeling the job is going by his demeanour on the sidelines go right ahead. In case it escaped your notice I was replying to your post, not the initial post, so stop bringing that up for heavens sake. Sometimes I just wonder why I bother.}

Am I the only one who still thinks BR is a stage 9 clinger of a girlfriend who seems to jump at the chance at talking about her ex. He always wants to rewrite history and his alliens in the media and pundit industry spout the same trash as in, belittling Klopp`s work and improving the squad while knowing full well that these are not his players. "BR, get over it and yourself. We gave you time and money and you were aweful and we will never take you back regardless of how many times you and your allies try to twist things and diminish Klopp`s improvements to the rubbish you served up, just to make you look good. "

BR is always talking about me. 😩.
