Well that's about it chaps on the Tex situation. Pearce has said both clubs are far apart in valuation and time is slipping away and would take a big change of heart from either side to make a deal possible.

What a total waste of time the whole thing has been.

Eds said 2 weeks ago it was very doubtfull and here we are with just days left with little alternative options.

Very frustrating.

I think this is for the best. With our impatience and without a pre-season behind texiera (spelling) would've been up against it anyway. Hopefully in the summer we can trim down the squad and add proper quality to it whilst remaining within our means instead of blowing close to 40mil on one player. let's give Klopp time to bed in and then get his players in!

I`m elated by this piece of news. Hurriedly buying a player for stupid money barely ever works and LFC of all people, should know that by now.

Outside of the likes of us discussing it constantly, I'm not sure how much time the club has actually wasted on it (well, except Ayre's trip to Florida) . Doesn't seem like the club has done much of anything since then, really.

I think its a shame to miss out on a player who is such a good finisher, and I feel we will probably have to spend well over 30m anyway to sign such a player in the summer.
And there aren't many such prolific goalscorers around who are also available and willing to miss out on CL with lfc for an unknown period of time.
Player valuations are becoming increasingly ridiculous (look at martial at nearly £60m), but there's nothing we can do about that sadly.
I didn't think so at first, but now I think we should pay the £38m and sign him- always assuming they will still do the deal.
I think by the summer his price might have gone up by another 10m or more, and he will have offers from established CL clubs.
I think its a case of now or never for this one.

I heard Ayre got Mickey Mouse's autograph, so not a complete waste of time or airfare.

We have a good finisher in Studge. I think his extended rehab and the way Klopp is handling his situation is going to do him a world of good and hopefully he will have an extended run in the first team.

Anonymush, or he may be worth 10M less or he cost more and another team buys him and he becomes a flop. In other words, who cares? He isn`t worth the money and I hop we don`t break the bank for such an unproven player.

Waqas we do have a good finisher in Studge but if you haven't noticed HE IS ALWAYS INJURED! We need someone we can rely on pal and sturridge ain't it.

I did warn everyone it would end this way and a waste of time getting excited over a player none of you have ever seen kick a ball. i'm content we have not panicked and spend more leveraged money. Get sturridges head right with a good shrink and pop in some pain killers and get him back on the pitch scoring goals like he is paid an estonishing amount of money to do.

Is Mickey Mouse a 30 goal a season striker that I've not heard of Jurgen? 😉 maybe he can bring his team mate Minny. X.
