Ed002, with it looking highly unlikely that teixeira will sign due to the high fee, do you think lfc will try and sign an alternative this window or leave the squad as it is? thanks.

I hope Liverpool buy him, even at £35m. He may not be worth that amount by himself but he's a player that could bring out the potential in our current players, which would make him a worth while signing.

A couple of things that strike me as strange in all of this is if sterling would have come out in mid season and blatantly stated he wanted to be at man city especially if we were going for the title he would have never played for the club again, the fans wouldn't except it either. Also how come shaktar are still in Florida and A T has been allowed to go back to Brazil, if he was injured he would be having treatment or sent back to Ukraine for tests. Plus in his picture with his wife and daughter now back in his homeland doesn't look like a bloke who's had the rug pull from under his feet? All conspiracy I know but strange all the same don't you think.

There's a few players about, who, for 35 million or less could improve our squad and probably be available. I think we should just wait for the summer. Clear out considerably and use it more wisely.

Exactly, Fencey. Players abound with talent and ability for far less than what Tex is going for. it`s our job to do our homework on them and get the ones that can help us instead of just wasting money we don`t have on a player no one had barely ever heard of until last week.
