First ever away day for me. Absolutely loved it!
Hearing flanno command the back line was brilliant to see. Has to start over Clyne.
We were the better by a country mile. Flanno, Smith, Stewart and especially Lucas take a bow. Fantastic! Was tearing my hair out watching Benteke in the first half but was a different player in the second, came alive when Studge came on.
Next year boys.

Some positivety on the site tonight. Very refreshing! I must admit, I shed a tear tonight for the first time this season. Either the banter arguments this week or the four cans of Bud after tonight's result caused it. Hope you all still feel I'm man enough to be RED XX.

Am I missing something? We lost to West Ham, following a draw to Sunderland, it's not like we're playing the elite here. Flanagan/ Smith are encouraging but the inability to learn from mistakes at set pieces is a joke. Especially at such a crucial moment. Seriously worrying for me, I don't see a solution any time soon with this group of players.

Liver duck, we played arguably our best game in three months by far. This game should never have gone to extra time and not even penalties. We dominated them and created chance after chance after chance. We lost and it hurts but we were the better team and Studge as well as Benteke were great. I felt for Benteke today. He did everything he could and the effort he put in was unbelievable. His confidence is shot and it showed. Another set piece? What else is new? All in all, great game by the lads and I'm hall that Studge is back, knock on wood.

benteke looked 'better' but only because sturridge and origi were occupying defenders. And by better I mean average. Our teams performance actually went downhill after the substitutions. mostly because sturridge is effectivly playing as second striker waiting for balls, and origi lacks the technical skills and is wasted out wide. continho and tex were sorely missed, they kept us flowing and were great to watch link up.
Sturridge and origi got scraps while benteke was the focal point. give sturridge, hell even origi the centre forward spot while replacing benteke with an actual footballer and we would have won tonight. Benteke is awful, one of the dumbest striker's I have ever seen play for liverpool. sure, he has ability but he is clueless. Aston villa was his level. good enough to keep them in the league but that's not saying much.

wiseryan making some not so wise comments. How short your memory must be if you can't remember Carroll, let alone Balotelli. Might be one of the dumbest posts I've seen in quite some time, and that is saying something for this site.
