Eds, tell me how Man United can get away with 'reaching agreements' with players? James and Morata have both agreed to join them.

Real are looking to sell the both of them and united have probably approached the club first. I'm guessing anyway.

Even if Man Utd resorted to tapping up, they would likely pay what the selling club wanted for the player so any issue would be brushed under the carpet. We on the other hand tap up players illegally, and then try to make lowball offers that will obviously p**s the selling club off (VVD saga) and hence the complaint by Saints to the FA.

I believe the poster is misunderstanding the fact that clubs can talk to players if the players current club gives permission, rather than sneaking around visiting them in hotel rooms like some creepy stalker.
