On the subject of VAR why can't they do like the rugby and have the ref and the var official come on the big screen and talk to each other maybe get the linesmen involved as well and explain why the came to their decision as its now farcical. At least with the rugby each player and fans know where they stand and the officials get it right nearly all the time.

Will most likely remove any potential for bias calls or fans and clubs feeling they’re bias.

They'd need to understand the rules first.

I would have thought that would take even longer alright sports like rugby as they are very stop start but would spoil the flow on the football match.
There is nothing wrong with var only the incompetence of the people running it.

VAR worked fine sunday all decisions were correct ones i know it is frustrating but its true. Efc v mc now that highlights how var is being done by people with an agenda . Isay that because of who the officals were and the problems klopp has recently had with them in last couple of weeks . For frank to make serious comments about the decision to deny a pen knowing get into trouble with fa says it all to me people with personnel agendas . This needs investigating asap.

{Ed001's Note - it used to be that a Mancunian ref was kept away from all games involving Merseyside teams and/or Manchester teams, so why is Kavanagh even involved in that game anyway? Even if he is honest and upstanding, the pressure on him is immense knowing that there will be likely to be a backlash if he gives any decision against City. Especially as that backlash will be against his family more than likely.}

I agree Deisered. I believe that Soccer is missing a trick by not implementing Var similar to the TMO used in Rugby. Rugby had issues at the start, i remember the 2015 world cup issues with the use of the TMO.

I don't believe that this would slow down the game any more than VAR currently does. How many times do we see the match referee standing around for minutes, talking to the VAR referee, then after 2+ minutes they run of the pitch to look at a small monitor. This could all be done with a large screen and the fans and audience could listen to the decision making. The game has stopped at this stage so the priority should be the correct decision.

The idea of not playing the incidents on the large screen and can't hear the communication between officials is a joke.

{Ed002's Note - There is no way they are going to show it on a large screen and let fans hear the discussions.}

I find it bizzare that Mike Dean referees Liverpool or Everton games when the proximity of the club's to Tranmere is tiny. I'm also a Tranmere supporting Wirral wool and I can tell you now I'd be giving both the blues and reds the fairer crap of the whip put it that way.

To Ed001. I totally agree with you. Bear in mind this is the same ref body who appointed 2 manchester born refs, taylor and kavanagh to ref the Chelsea-MU match. If not corruption its at least clear conflict of interest.

{Ed001's Note - exactly.}
