Interesting FA cup draw!
All the bigger teams are playing away from home! (I'll give it to Everton this time rd so that Ed 025 gets some respite from us too)

3 matches away from a trophy. Let's see if we bag this.

{Ed025's Note - our history makes us a big club sg, unfortunately the present squad are not living up to that tag but im hoping for better in the future mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

I was convinced we'd get Chelsea again. Other than getting a home tie, we couldn't have asked for a better draw. Long may that continue.

Wind back 60 years when Ed025 was in short pants and Everton were the richest club in England and as successful as anyone, lit took Liverpool until the early 70s (I think) to draw level with them.
I always thought of the 1960s as a great Liverpool era but Everton virtually bookended the decade with championship wins, had more FA Cup Final appearances and had the world’s top midfielder in royal blue, Alan Ball.

That Everton v Boreham game was painful to watch from an Everton standpoint, Ed25. I needed actual pain killers to get through it and I still couldn't finish the game, it was that terrible from the "big club" (now that's a myth x 100). You guys are hilarious and long may it continue. And PLEASE, don't get relegated cos if you do, where am I going to get my comedy material from?

{Ed025's Note - first half was awful oli but we got our act together in the 2nd, its not easy even against national league teams when they park the bus, you lot moan about that often enough..

Truth be told when you got some money a few years back I really thought you’ll be in the big game

Alas, poor managers and spending seemed to have set you back even further and you’re no better than the days of Moyes who worked on with peanuts. It’s a shame.

{Ed025's Note - yeah sg money is not everything mate..

It's not about how much you spend, it's about how wisely you spend it.
Perfect example is Man Utd, Pogba and Maguire for £160/ 170 million. While we picked up Robbo for £8 million. United will NEVER see their money's worth out of those 2.

If Lamps is given time all will be well with Everton.
He seems to want to bring back the”people’s club” ethos and I can see them trying to get the fans onside in a way similar to what Leicester achieved in their first few years back in Prem.
They’ve handled the situation with Mykolenko very well already.

Bit disappointed with Everton fans every time I watch them.
Last night it took only about twenty mins until audible grumbling - my wife (who rarely watches football) remarked it was a very different atmosphere to which our boys play in at Anfield and no wonder they struggled to perform. 🤷‍♂️.

I think what Everton needs more than anything else is a Board with a vision, and a carefully selected manager on a mission. No more knee jerk reactions. Once the right manager is appointed, which seems like Frank Lampard judging where Everton currently is and Lampard's pedigree in English football, give him time and back him up. When things are not going well, stick to it rather rather a fire-sale. With the right team, Everton can become a really, really strong side again in 5 to 10 years. We need a thriving Merseyside; better still, we need a strong league, or else Citeh will just continue to win everything and nobody will be able to compete for and square. That's why I was particularly upset about that handball farce last week; you need more teams ready to fight to the death with the so-called superstars of the league, rather than teams ready to concede the game before the opening whistle!

@Juicer - talking of Alan Ball, the midfield of Colin Harvey, Howard Kendall and Alan Ball were brilliant ( this from a Kopite ) . Between them they had the lot - skill, a great work ethic and character. The best midfield, from across the park, that I’ve see .
