Naby K played a good game today. Nice to see.
Mane does a job for the team.
Salah scores goals, but Mane does a job for the whole TEAM. Most times he is missed (although not for goals) when he doesn't play.
Mane would need replacing soon.
Dreaming of a Mane and Salah mix, someone who disturbs the opponents and still scores goals (Suarez anyone? )
Ward has his job cut out for him (unless Klopp can get Diaz scoring)

I thought Naby had a good game today. Played some lovely balls forward and looked a little bit more confident. Don’t get me wrong he made mistakes but so did Hendo and Fab in there.

Mane was having his bags packed the other week so it’s great to see him get another goal and I thought his and Diaz link up play was very good at times today. Salah is world class but his touch on occasions was a little off today where he is normally so clinical as second nature.

West Ham gave us a game today and they had some Great chances. In the first half they had 10 shots on goal which is a joint record high for any team against LFC at Anfield under Klopp.

We weren’t at our best but the record books don’t show performances just results and we got that with the 3 points. Brighton up next in the league who seem to be in a slump but always seem to turn up against us.

But before they we need to put Inter to the sword on Tue night.

I must confess I was a little apprehensive when Mane's goal was given the VAR once over. Stevie Wonder could see that Mane wasn't offside, but that doesn't mean the VAR clowns would see it that way.
Maybe the VAR guy's guide dog was in charge for the day.

I'll agree Nabby had a decent game surprised as there was injury problems for him. Let's hope his form continues.
Salah needs to start curling some shots in the corners not straight at the keeper.

To Mane played like he has played all season. He has been very good imo. He's had 2 or 3 goals ruled out for very marginal offsides so it was nice to see one go his way. I never understood people saying he doesn't look confident when he wasn't scoring. Cos from what I see he is a baller and is at it the whole time he is on the pitch. Certainly more involved in all aspects of the game than his mate on the other wing, but both effective together. I am happy that Salah was subbed off today and not Mane, as Salah was ineffective other than the first 2 minutes.

I saw Naby challenge a number of aerial battles as well as playing some good football. Really good to see him not bottling like he has done previously. Maybe he is finally turning into the midfielder we all thought we had.

I thought Naby played quite well and also did a fair bit of tracking back, did I see him helping out Trent at right back before he got subbed 🤔. He was always showing for the ball also. A good performance for a player who was injured 🤣🤣. I always believe if you're quick enough to criticise a players performance then we should be equally quick enough to point out a decent performance 👌.

Thought our decision making in the final 3rd left a lot to be desired. I’m all for taking the shot on but if there’s a player in a better position in a tight game, the ball needs to be passed.

I love Mane, but I have always said he has poor first touch and if it hasn't been corrected by now .
He has a similar trait to Lukaku, he is best when bearing down on defenders not backing the post. He plays best when playing on instinct than when he has time to think.
If he continues as a nine he could bring that hammer blow we need to commit defenders and might I add, he is not afraid to draw fouls from opponent and he is rugged enough to shake it off.

OP, you lost me as soon as you mentioned Suarez for no apparent reason. I thought Naby and Mane played well too and Naby actually was tracking back and getting stuck in which was great to see. Mane? The guy is a threat even at this stage in his career and playing a diff position.

Now as someone said and I agree, I do think he overthinks things in a position where you can literally NOT afford to think and instead, you react. As a winger, you can do that cos you have time but not as a CF. When he is in the box, Mane reacts on instinct BUT when he drops deep to orchestrate, seems to get stuck in his own head thinking of what to do and ends up doing nothing, IMO. All that said, Mane is STILL world class and is having a great season, IMO all things considered.
