0666 Utd needed little home truths tonight as they put in a half decent performance against a pretty average Spurs side and think they'll get top 4.

{Ed0666's Note - I don’t think they’ll get top 4 mate they really don’t deserve it and they are decidedly average. I actually feel really sorry for them because not only are their neighbours light years ahead of them we don’t even consider them a worthy adversary. Their stock has fallen so sharply that they no longer cannot flutter their eyelids and attract the best playing staff or coaches. Yes a part of me is delighted at their plight but I’m not gonna lie there is a part of me that feels sorry for them. I know this won’t be a popular opinion on here but what can I say I must be one of those bleeding hearts!! 😂

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, I echo your thoughts.

I laughed when they went a goal down, but seeing them knocked out champs league, and just had far they’ve fallen in the last several years.

I think it’s because we were in an similar situation all throughout the 2000’s. Kind of know what it feels like.

{Ed0666's Note - exactly mate the 2000’s were horrible for me because our title challenge petered out at Xmas and regarding the Champions League as the taunt on the terraces sicinctly put it ‘we were having a laugh’…..i absolutely feel it’s a worse situation for the mancs because not only are City urinating on them so are we.

Does anyone really think United fans felt sorry for us when they were winning multiple league titles and we were scrambling to finish 7th or 8th? I’m loving this United decline and long may it continue.

{Ed0666's Note - don’t get me wrong I don’t want them back on their perch or anything I’m just saying I can feel their pain

16 Mar 2022 07:15:22
I agree Thunderbird. Let Utd suffer, big time. Liverpool had years of watching them win Leagues while we struggled even for a CL spot. Its no offence to Utd fans or posters, I'm sure they understand 😄😄.

16 Mar 2022 07:34:22
I don’t feel sorry for them one bit. I still get loads of s**t off my Man U mates because they still think they are as good as us. It’s crazy I know!
If Man U stop us winning the league on the last day of the season would you still feel sorry for them because that will be there best day for the last 6 years!

16 Mar 2022 07:35:23
I completely understand Rover😂.

16 Mar 2022 08:04:12
Remember the shouts of "we are United, we do what we want"?
No sympathy from me, pour on the pain.

16 Mar 2022 08:28:09
Utd are reaping the rewards of their arrogance, incompetence and self entitlement esp. their fans who think they have a given right to win everything w/ o bothering to work hard and remain humble esp. since Fergie left (he didn't really leave cos he's still there pulling the strings) . Consequence is NO coincidence.

16 Mar 2022 08:41:04
Their stocks might be falling shape but not their bank balance. I expect them to splash another £200 mill in the summer.

16 Mar 2022 08:50:32
I can remember the last time they were relegated - now that was fun.

To be honest, what happened before he got there and what has happened since puts old Red Nose into context. As a Liverpool fan I found him to be a disagreeable girl but as a manager he was absolutely top notch.

16 Mar 2022 09:10:01
I have sympathy for Everton’s decline but pure unbridled delight at the fall of Man Utd. As a previous poster stated, it’s more to do with their arrogance under Fergie rather than their success. Would love to see them humbled in the European Conference sixth place thingy next season 😂.

16 Mar 2022 09:18:02
When did they spend the first £200 million Harry?

16 Mar 2022 09:37:41
They will need to spend more then 200m they are goosed most unbalanced team around full of egos they went backward since Christiano wave my arms Ronaldo came to them! It’s great to see let them fall and fall! Over for de gea they’d be with the bitters fighting it out for 19th.

16 Mar 2022 09:55:44
They're in a similar rut like we were in the 90s. Simlar levels of success or lack thereof (1 League cup; 1 FA cup for us 1 FA cup, 1 League Cup, 1 UEFA cup for them since 2013). Poor buying choices (not even going to list ours, except to say Istvan Kozma), and worst of all in my opinion, deluded fans who think they have the right to win everything. The situation in football has however, changed completely, to wit, money and impatience.

16 Mar 2022 11:52:31
@Irish

What you mean mate? Look at their squad.

16 Mar 2022 12:16:35
I don’t mind them spending any 2000 mil if that means that are in greater mess w overpaid average players who believe they should be top of the league and in CL but are either not in Europe or at best, euro conference league.

16 Mar 2022 07:09:13
I think if you went and watched LFC home and away against United ( live ) in late 90’s / 00’s you might not feel so sorry 666 mate…

Did you not hear the chants ( not nice either) against us last night? And we we’re even playing them! 😂😂 That’s how obsessed they are with us

Sorry but I am delighted and hope the rot continues.

{Ed0666's Note - I hear ya mate I just see them as rivals anymore so don’t even think about them. I’m ambivalent towards their demise.

16 Mar 2022 13:32:29
Drogie- yes! I heard the chants against us last night. It was right before Atleti scored and that shut them up!

{Ed0666's Note - poetic justice, karma etc etc

16 Mar 2022 15:54:07
What chants against us?

16 Mar 2022 22:50:14
Which songs were they dragging up?
