Hi Eds .
Indirectly Liverpool related .

What are your opinions on Craig Shakespeare?

I didn't know a lot about him before he took over from Ranieri; but each time I hear him summarise his teams and the refs etc. performance, He comes across very well, and has done a great job turning Leicesters season around.

Our rivals for top 4 got away with 3 points when they should have drawn or lost!

Cities goal was offside and Mahrez double touched the ball on the penalty' so the goal was disallowed by the ref and his assistants; who For some reason failed to see 2 city players encroaching on the penalty.

The encroachment came before the double tap so at least the Penalty should have been re taken.

Unlucky Leicester but a great comeback performance that deserved at least a point.

{Ed001's Note - he is a friend of the players, not a manager.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Short term fix i think.

{Ed001's Note - he is an excellent coach, but he is too close to the players to keep discipline, in fact he was a part of the problem in the first place due to his closeness to them.}

Thanks for the reply Ed.

I definitely see your point about being too close to the players a assistant manager; but, the team has reacted well to him and surely that's the aim of any manager who ultimately are judged on the results.

Going forward it would be nice to see another home grown manager in the premier league.

{Ed001's Note - I don't care where a manager or player comes from, Shakespeare will struggle when he needs to maintain discipline. Where was he when discipline broke down at the beginning of the season? He was a big part of the problem, he is not a solution.}

isn't he the snake that got Claudio fired.

Ed is right. You don't replace a failing manager with his assistant. It is just nonsense. It is the job of the assistant to know the players as he serves as a liason btw the manager and the players. Once the assistant becomes the head man, he is in trouble cos the players cos they have always seen him as their BFF, he will have issues maintaining discipline because that notion of being the players' BFF will not go away overnight and when results start going south, they will turn on him too. Again, you don't replace failure with it's assistant no if you want to improve as a club.

Thanks for the reply Ed.

Final questionstage.

Do you think that he will be there next year?

Or if a new coach comes in will he drop down to assistant again.

{Ed001's Note - I expect him to get the job in the summer, as that will help them keep the players. It will all end in tears I am sure.}
