I read in the Daily Mail that if the Manchester clubs win their games in hand over Liverpool they will go above them. Very clever thinking but as they have to play each other this is an impossibility. As it stands the maximum points that the top 6 can achieve is as follows:
Chelsea 96, Tottenham Hotpur 89, Manchester City 82, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester United 81. At least one of the two Manchester teams will lose 2 points when they play each. The same applies to Arsenal and Manchester United who have to play each other. Manchester United in fact still have FOUR matches against Top 6 clubs. The main thing is of course that Liverpool must win the remaining games. As it stands we are already assured of European football - hopefully it will be the Champions' League.

We won't suddenly change now we have 7 games to go, we cannot beat the lesser teams.

West Brom match will be a bloody nightmare.

I can see the headlines

"Daily Mail in misleading article shocker"

😁🤠.

The next two games are critical and not sure we're tough enough to battle it out with Stoke and West Brom.
A win at stoke and point at West Brom will do but 2 draws or worse and it's out of our hands then.

Stoke at best will be a draw I can't see any points taken at West Brom away

Lfc lack steel and seeing games out - but honestly that is just 2 areas of a long long list of weaknesses lfc have
I don't really care if lfc reach top 4 or not il still support them
But tell me this. how do u expect klopp to be any different next year when he makes such stupid decisions
With the left back area klavan the sakho thing . tactics . he has Cosr lfc a lot of points just as much as individual players like the goalkeepers
I just don't think he is going to make lfc any different

I still prefer more defensive managers or really strict organisers I think they would be a better fit.

Have you ever considered being a motivational speaker, realtalk?

UTD could reach the CL by winning the EL which is far more easier than league games! That's second trophy in one season for them. This leaves us and Arsenal to fight for the 4th spot. City are destined for the 3rd place or higher.

07 Apr 2017 09:51:48
Another 12 points and we will be there, more than confident.

07 Apr 2017 09:52:40
1 game at a time.

07 Apr 2017 09:53:25
The Manchester clubs have to play each other so at least one of them can't go above us.

07 Apr 2017 09:50:51
We have 7 matches, 21 points available.

The most important thing is that we have the points on the board and City, UTD and Arsenal have to catch up irrespective of having games in hand. The pressure is on. Only City can go one point ahead of us. Arsenal and UTD will be level if they had to win their 2 games in hand. Are UTD going to beat Chelsea and City? Arsenal still have to play Spurs, UTD and Everton. Points will most definitely be dropped.

All roads lead to Anfield for a top 4 spot and we have a better goal difference than all of the three above mentioned teams too.

At this point it looks like UTD and Arsenal will be battling it out for 5th spot.

You can only take it one match at a time. Stoke up next and we are more than capable of beating them.

Seriously why does anybody read the daily fail?

07 Apr 2017 10:28:42
Thankfully, neither West Brom nor Stoke are, or play like, bottom half teams.

07 Apr 2017 11:00:14
Daily mail readers are almost as bad as people that read the sun.

I may be wrong but didn't we beat both stoke and west brim . I was more worried that we would loose to Bournemouth and you knew watching the game and knowing how we play that bouncing ball in the box late in the game was ending up in the net.

The top four is the place we should be at the end of the season . If we do great . If we don't I still love Liverpool and will continue to read this site and watch every minute I can.

Spurs are going well and I think will end 2nd. City united and arsenal will all drop points in the run in.
Games in hand mean nothing. We have the points from those games already.

Let's back the team be positive and enjoy watching this great club play.

We are ahead of the competition and have a better run in - we should absolutely be confident of a top 4, however Mane is a big loss and really hope Llalana, Matip and Hendo come back soon to help offset that as collectively they are as important. Would like to see Origi upfront and Firmino on the right. Sturridge as impact sub.

Go get us home Klopp! We believe (except for Redtalk)

We have the points in hand, Utd and Arsenal don't. They have to still go out and compete for those points and they are no cake walks either. Utd have City and Saints on the road. Good luck getting two wins when you can't score goals. Arsenal have LC (on a great run at home) and Saints on the road (where they never win) .

Also, City had a game in hand vs Stoke and got a point. That should tell you that games in hand mean NADA. We have the points, they don't so we are in the box seats right now. Their schedules are also brutal especially Utd's so top 4 ain't happening for them.

The media has some type of issue with LFC getting top 4 cos they always wanna make Klopp look bad hence, they compare his record (a pathetic argument) to BR's to make it look like he's failing, which he is NOT. Top 4 is up to us and us alone and if we handle our business 9easier said than done) we will get it.

07 Apr 2017 17:54:30
You know what? I'd rather have United run of games than ours, simply because you can almost guarantee we'll turn up against the bigger teams. Plus we're unbeaten against the top 6 this year, aren't we?
