Centre back - test Chelsea's resolve regarding Ake.
Midfielder - continue our tradition of buying Southampton players and go all out for Oriel Romeu.
Love Sakho to get another chance too but sadly I think not.

Judging by Sakhos reaction to Bentekes goal, I don't think he has any intention of playing for Liverpool next season.

He could improve our defence dramatically whatever formation we play, 3 or 4 at the back. Your right though, klopp is unlikely to change his system but he looks very comfortable in a back 3. I understand we have no interest also and Chelsea probably have no interest in letting such a talent go.

I like Ake a lot, good defender and a good football brain on him. Can play LB, CB or centre midfield competently, I'd sign him because he is a good all rounder.

Pity Klopp hasn't any interest in Ake as I personally would prefer we get him over Van Dijk, but that's just my preference.
Still keeping the faith in Klopp though.

I'd be happy with Gibson too! There are available players who will dramatically improve our defence it's just a case of klopp being interested and as one of the Editors said, the demand for centre halves is big this summer meaning we will have to pay big money for one. even with that in mind VVD is WAY over priced and over rated and I hope we don't get him!

Would be very happy with Ake. What a player he is going to be for years to come.

Seen a few people mention Gibson, and I have to admit I have been very impressed with him for Boro this season, my only reservation would be whether he could handle the pressure of playing for us, it's one thing being the big, vocal, commanding presence at Boro, but doing it at Liverpool is a tottaly different thing as we've seen from many players we've signed from smaller clubs over the years.
