Great podcast Benny and Ed002. Really appreciate you guys taking the time to do this stuff for all fans/ supporters on this site. The amount of work that gets put into this site is nothing but commendable.
Agree re Clyne. I know I am harping but if there is one player who does not contribute any positive outcome to our play then it is him.
There are many players who can run up and down the pitch but for heavens sake, you need some output!
Klopp, please bring us a proper right attacking fullback this summer along with one with a left peg!

As limited as Clyne is, we have other positions that need to fix first. I think we can persevere with Clyne for 1 more season. Too much change is not a good idea at this stage.

Ha ha, look at our whole squad, I would be happy with Milner sticking at LB.
Clyne simply does not cut the mustard. Wake up.

He's gives us a 6-7/ 10 40+ times per season. Has obvious instructions to cut in rather than go for the cross. Reasonably solid i defense- not the main reason we're shipping goals. Does some good attacking aswell, started the move for 1-0 v Boro for example.
Not the best RB I've ever seen, but good enough. Money should be spent elsewhere. Happy with him and Milner sharing the position for 17/ 18.

Ed01 i didn't know you were born in the 40s lol. Anyway another great edition and looking forward to the next intalment. Benny i did not get joke of the week at all, maybe I will listen to the whole pod again to see if i can work it out!

Andy, I asked Ed025 if he would be willing to swap Clyne for Coleman and refused to answer the question :-)
Clyne means nothing to us being able to use his strength, his availability being fit, his pace if he cannot contribute a positive impact. It is like having a brand new Ferrari that is defective. Costs you a load of cash but does not perform.
The club wanted rid of Clyne last summer. Get rid of the sentiment and wake the hell up as we need a significant upgrade at RB. If not then TAA to replace Clyne to go to the bench end of the story :-)

I see left back as the priority and move Milner over to right back and blood TAA Throughout the season. I think we could maybe get a decent price for Clyne,10-15m to a mid table prem team?

Wouldn't mind Clyne and Milner sharing the RB position, as I said. You don't want to start the season with a 50% new defensive line. Takes time to get in sync.
Clyne is absolutely not a world beater, but that is not what I expect from a RB. And again: he has obvious instructions not to go for the cross, but to cut in and look for a short pass. Think this has been frustrating many of us, but it is what Klopp want.
Hate these so called "modern" fullbacks who give you 9/ 10 and a brace one week, 3/ 10 the next week costing two goals. Attack by all means, but learn how to be sound defensively first .
A fullback won't win silver for you, but might loose it for you. Moreno, EL-final last year for example.
