Good evening Eds. I have a question for you, with all these rumours of Liverpool being interested in various strikers (Mbappe, Lacazette, Aubameyang, etc. ) With Solanke being the newest addition to the 9 role, and no sales of any of the strikers planned, do we even have any interest or space for another frontman?

{Ed025's Note - yes you do mate, solanke is one for the future but nowhere near ready for the first team and the impotence of the other forwards means liverpool are desperate for a new forward..

The "impotence" of which forwards, Ed? You mean our front three that scored about 50 goals between them in the PL?

I agree with Ed025. Our GF column was skewed by big scores against the likes of Hull 6-1, Leicester 4-1, Watford 5-1 and various other high scoring victories. There were still games against Burnley, Southampton, Hull away and Man United were we could've played for 3 hours and not scored a goal. When games are tight, you need a guy who finds goals. Not 5 attacking midfielders who all score 1 each when they all turn up at the same time.

Firmino had a few barren spells and we did struggle for goals during periods of the season.

Most of those barren spells he was playing on the wing. Firmino is a very capable striker IMO.

MK, who cares about how many lopsided scores we had? The last time I checked, they all count so that is a pointless false equivalence. Your strikers will not score for you all the time which is why you need goals from all over the shop to compensate for that dry spell. Picking isolated games where we did not score again, is a false equivalence. Our issue is not scoring goals even tho, that can be improved. It is keeping them out and that is where the main focus should be. Why many still continue with this insane obssession with signing a true goalscorer (who that is, they can't say as all the good ones are all taken) in an area we are not lacking in (Goals scored) is bordering on the absurd.
