Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE our stating 11 to contain VVD, Mendy, Keita and Aubameyang.
But by my calculations this would leave all of Sturridge, Firmino, Lallana, Lovren, Gomez, TAA, Can and Wiji (and more) on the bench/ sold.
Seems like a bit of a waste of talent that we already have in our ranks.
How many new signings do we actually need?

You mentioned 4 quality signings? That's absolutely what we need to challenge on all fronts. I doubt all the signings would actually come but bringing in 4 quality additions has been the clubs target from the start and it wouldn't hinder any player, unless they weren't good enough. TAA plays RB, so non of those signings would directly effect him. And you mentioned 1 midfield signing but then said atleat 3 of our midfielders would end up benched. Doesn't add up. Rotation and injuries affect the squad, take a look at a typical champions league squad!

We are competing in four comp we need quality bench and strong squad depth to cover injuries and suspention.
With just Solanke salah keita mendy and van dijk we are perfect to go and win everything next season.

Plenty of games where our bench consisted of Academy players plus Moreno and karius, simply not good enough.
