Hi all, this post isn't transfer related. More of a discussion post.

Does anyone else think that back in 2012, that King Kenny should possibly have been given maybe 1 more year. In terms of on the pitch i remember our football not being bad (I know we finished 8th) we did make 2 cup finals and think we set a record for number of times hitting the woodwork. We absolutely dominated teams and remember some outstanding goalkeeping performances against us as well. I think with one more season (and maybe a little more luck) we would have made top 4 under Kenny the next season. Also, he really could have done without the Suarez incident, which cost him the job in my opinion. Does anyone else think that 1 more season under Kenny would have been a good one or were we better off replacing him when we did?

I thought he'd be given 1 more season but it's clear he was dismissed for reasons other than performances on the pitch.

Personally if things didn't happen as they did we wouldn't have klopp now.

BUT KENNY should always get one more year he should have continued as long as he wanted to. I would have trusted him to take us forward and to know when the time was right to step aside as he loves the club and fans and has done more for lfc than anyone.

You'll get a lot of agrees because of who came next but if it was anyone other than KK there wouldn't even be a debate.

I think time has Softened your memories, we were dire that year. We came eighth but it was our worst league performance in 50 years. It was a disaster of Hodgson proportions.

Not even the king can spend that much money on Andy Caroll and get away with it.

I would agree a bit that during that time, Liverpool weren't that great. But I still remember the feeling of watching the team lifted the League Cup. I agreed with Dalglish, when he said lifting a trophy was more important than the top 4. If he stays, I think he will give Liverpool another trophy or two.

Kenny the player was before my time although I have huge respect for what he has done for club and city however he was a manager coming in to a league he'd not managed in for number of years. It was a different ball game so to speak and when he left it best for the club.
